For the bugs in the front and even tar on the side, I like using P&S brake buster diluted in a Zep spray bottle. It works great.

What are the dilutions?

Just because a soap is more runny doesn't mean is less diluted. Adam's mega foam is runny and is one of the most foam producing soaps in the market.

That’s no what I said. The higher viscosity of the pearl means that it dilutes easier in water, not that it’s less concentrated. In this case though I had to use around double the amount of pearl to get the foam I got with the W&G, so it’s obviously not as concentrated.

I just got the Griots Garage Ceramic Wash & Wax. It does a pretty good job for a quick maintenance wash. It does leave a noticeable layer of protection on the vehicle. Maybe a weeks worth. It's not a coating by any sense of the word and it's not designed for that purpose. People that think they are getting a coating, sealant, or wax on a vehicle from washing it.......ah.....NO....ain't happening folks. But it's a pretty good product for a wash and wax. I then top it using their new Ceramic Speed Shine for just a little more pop and a bit more protection. Again, this is just for a quick maintenance wash. When I do a full wash on my vehicle I break out the foam cannon, pressure washer, the whole bit, then I use an actual Si02 based spray sealant on the vehicle to recharge the hydrophobics for at least a month. Maybe every third wash or so. In between the Ceramic Wash and Coat and Ceramic Speed Shine do a great job. The car paint looks like glass all the time and water beads up and just rolls off the paint leaving very little water on the paint. I do have a good quality Si02 based sealant on the finish as a "base" layer that I apply every six months. The garage is always garaged kept and not usually driven in the rain if I can help it, only if I happen to be caught in the rain while I am out, but it's pretty rare. If it does happen to rain on the vehicle and I can get to it fast enough after it rains, I just take the Griot's Garage PFM drying towel with the Ceramic Speed Shine as a drying aide and lubricity and get all the left over water off the paint as soon as possible so I avoid any water spotting from the rain. Doing that also tops up the Si02 protection once again. Works like a charm. Griots Garage Ceramic Speed Shine is reasonably priced by the gallon so I can refill the smaller spray bottle when needed. I use it liberally as a drying aide, duster, quick detailer for VERY light dust, or as a finishing product at the end of any maintenance wash to ramp up the gloss and provide that last little step in making the paint "POP". For those that don't want to spend the money on ceramic coatings, The new Jescar Ultra Lock + (Their Powerlock +, now with Si02 infused in it) makes one heck of a fantastic, easy on and off, paint sealant that will easily last about 3 months with no problem. And if you use an Si02 based maintenance product of your choice, you'll get a lot longer. I have no problem doing a full decon wash, iron remover, clay bar, light polish, and reapplication of the sealant every three months (4 times per year) to keep my vehicle looking like brand new. But then again, I really enjoy detailing my car so it's therapeutic to me. You could probably only do it every six months and it would still look great doing the maintenance washes every two weeks or so with the Si02 based quick detailer. There are now so many Si02 based products to choose from you don't have to break the bank to get excellent results.

I'm actually coming out with a review on the Griots Ceramic Wash & Coat in a week or two. It is very impressive as far as wax infused shampoos go I will say. I would not recommend using it in the sun though, it's quite potent! Sounds like you have a good handle on detailing your own cars, keep it up my friend! Thanks for watching, love your comments!

CG's Citrus Wash & Wax is a good foam cannon soap, easy to find, works well, and it's cost effective. Just shake the bottle first before use, the wax will settle in the bottom of bottle (it is visible). Also have a look at Chem-X soap lineup and snow foam (great for large mud-trucks, lifted trucks, SUVs, and SEMIs). Great video.

Thank you very much! However, chemical guys says that wash and gloss contains no wax, not sure what is in it, it’s all proprietary, but at a higher dilution ratio it will strip wax. That’s what makes it a good cleaner.

Citrus Wash & Gloss is super slick. I use it with much dirtier washes. General use, I've tried the Sticky Snowball. Does a better job than the original Snowfoams to me. Check it out.

Im pro detailer, about my experiences with many different Wash and wax soap (natural wax or synthetic wax) you will never expect about the shampoo will remove the bugs or tar over the surface, even for tar and bug removal is hard to do the job, doesn’t matter what brand of products are you using, always is better do a previously wash with only water, next step you can use with the surface still Wed some bugs and tar removal so you can finally wash with a wash and wax soap , when you’re rinsing the soap better use a very low pressure water so you will keep the wax from the shampoo over the surface and you will make it very shiny ✨

P&s is really great soap but if it's covered in bugs and tar I would recommend bilthamber , but as far as concentration p&s is 148 water to 1 part soap where chemical guys is a very low concentration at 60 to 1 , if you are a non pro then chemical guys if you are a pro then P&S

If you want a pre soak to remove bugs and such…why not use an APC/degreaser?
@TurnerMobileDetailing
@TurnerMobileDetailing Жыл бұрын
You certainly can as a 2 step process. APCs and degreasers don’t foam real well in foam cannons though if you want to go that route.
@TouchstoneMPWD
@TouchstoneMPWD 8 ай бұрын
@DetailsNMe, I use Simple Green, sometimes full strength, and sometimes diluted ( not sure the ratio 🤷🏻‍♂️) .. but the APC doesn't work as well as I'd like. I have tried and it does work very well and that's P&S brake buster. It works great. I'll spray it on the front of the car, the side mirrors, and even the doors where the road grime git hard at. Once I spray where I need it at, I'll come back and spray off with my pressure washer and it knocks it all right off. Some is left behind, but it's an easier wipe off.

Thanks so much for the constructive criticism, I really appreciate it. Im still pretty new to the KZbin game and still learning so I appreciate helpful feedback. I was actually thinking the same thing about my thumbnails, I’ll probably go and edit a few past ones to simply them. And I’m getting used to being on camera more and more, it’s not as easy as some make it look haha! Working on getting more comfortable so I can be myself more and be more enthusiastic. What type of bug cleaner you recommend to clan off all the bugs . I just recently moved and there’s tons of bugs all over the vehicle . I’m new to this foam cannon stuff . So by looking at your video you use the foam cannon to just break the dirt down , rinse the vehicle after and the foam agin to do a hand wash ?? I just got the chemical guy soap you use on this video haven’t used it but I did see a bug remover from chemical guys also . Any recommendations and tips we be helpful thanks , from a new subscriber.

Thanks for watching!! So I use 2 different products for getting off bugs that are too tough for car soap alone. Citrol 266, and Goof Off. Goof Off works best, but you have to be careful on black plastic trim, you cannot touch black plastic trim with Good Off, it will discolor it. Citrol 266 is safe for any surface, but it doesn’t work as fast as Good Off. Hope this helps.

Before even watching the video, I already know Chemical Guys would lose. Products are fine for a DIY'er but no where near professional grade use. Great to start on to get a feel for certain techniques but a product line to quickly move on from.

Citrus wash and gloss is promoted as a great stripping shampoo for peeps looking to get a car ready for paint correction, or new sealant/wax.. I don't know anything about that P&S product, is it purported to also be a stripping shampoo?
@TurnerMobileDetailing
@TurnerMobileDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah wash and gloss will strip OLD waxes and sealants, it mentions the dilution ratio for that right in the label . P&S Pearl is not marketed as a stripper soap, it’sPH level is only between 8 and 9, so it’s relatively neutral, with a little extra alkalinity, I doubt very much it could strip anything.
@jameschan1334
@jameschan1334 3 жыл бұрын
@@TurnerMobileDetailing their instructions have a dilution for stripping but I don't get how it can strip if it's infused with wax or gloss enhancers? If it's stripping isn't it also adding something at the same time?
@TurnerMobileDetailing
@TurnerMobileDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
@@jameschan1334 I asked chemical guys the same question a while back. They were a little vague in their answer as usual but they made it clear enough that wash and gloss has no wax in it. Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think they say gloss enhancers on the label. But the term gloss enhancers is such a marketing ploy to the average consumer, it could mean a lot of things. In this case it could just mean it cleans the dirt well so it I’m proves the gloss compared to the car being dirty 😂. Bottom line, W&G has no wax in it.

Extra shine soap will not prepare the clear coat for a correction, the clear coat must be 100% bare. then it is recommended to use a pure soap with a neutral pH, since all the products that are used to make a paint correction are corrosive, even a synthetic wax has a small amount of corrosive agents that will slightly damage the transparent layer over time, I use a lot citrus but because it’s looking amaizing shiny ✨ to give back the car to my customers, I love it! But I will never use it for a paint correction because I will have to remove the glossy synthetic wax from the citrus soap after wash
