How to know when got conc H2S04, and when got reflux so hard to memorize

Amazing guy thanks for these vids they help a lot. My teacher gave me another one from carboxylic acids; polymerisation, with some internet searches i deduced that it was the reaction type to make it into an amino acid but im still not sure about the reagents and conditions so i'll have to find these...

hi sir. is the reaction with SOCl2 anhydrous as well? because i learn it in school that SOCl2 is liquid

Yes SOCl2 is liquid at room temperature (boiling point 79 deg celsius). Anhydrous means in absence of water, so as long as we use pure SOCl2 in absence of water then will be find
