Excellent update you have given. In yesterdays The Hindu Newspaper 9.10.2024 there was a detailed news item from the Railways that MRTS SERVICES UPTO CHENNAI BEACH will be started from 1st week of November 2024 and the 4th line project will be over by the end of Nov 2024. This is really good news for all of us. Due to land aquisition issues this delay was there. Work is progressing at a very fast pace. Fully enjoyed your video. All the best.

Between Fort and Beach, the 4th line would be used as the up-line for both MRTS and express trains (wrong side for express trains - right from Egmore). MRTS will run upto Beach as Fort doesnt have enough platforms. So 1) line 1 would be up line from Tambaram/Egmore to Beach for EMUs, 2) line 2 would be the down line from Beach to Egmore/Tambaram for EMUs, 3) line 3 would be the down line from Beach to Egmore for express trains (wrong side operations). From Egmore to Tambaram, trains will switch to our regular conventional operations. 4) line 4 would be the up line from Egmore to Beach for express trains (wrong side operations)... would also be shared with MRTS from Fort to Beach 5) line 5 will exist only between Park Town to Fort for MRTS as an up line 6) line 6 would be the down line from Beach to Park Town for MRTS I think the above is IR/SR's idea. Once the signals come up, it would be clearer

Who gives a Rats Ass if a Chennai coastal mainline gets Quadrapled or Not. It's Primarily coz of these Arrogant Chennai lobby that the erstwhile SR Divisions of Bangalore and Mysore NEVER had a dedicated LOCAL TRAIN on their Networks. Thanks to the Current Selfless Prime minister, We are Finally seeing some Change on the ground in Bangalore and Deservedly so. I Hope good Samaritans of Ernakulam and also Trivandrum Finally get out of their negligent slumber and give shape to some kind of an action committee and Persuade the Central Govt. to Implement a Long delayed and Much needed Kochi LOCAL train network. Besides instead of this Unwanted Chennai Quadrapling, I hope the entire Kerala Mainline network gets Quadrapled.
