I feel sorry for both of them especially for Ramses he suddenly lost his best friend and his brother. I think at heart he is an insecure , vulnerable person who craves for father 's acceptance and affection and he loves his brother more than anything. The causes of his later blind range, bitterness , stubbornness , pride and hatred are that first of her terribly afraid not being weak and destroying his empire as his dad codly scolded him.And last but not least that he received as betrayal and abandonment by his brother. In his mind he said I don't care if he isn't my biological brother and / or he kills a dozen of men .I terribly miss him and I m so worry about what happening to him .But wait he returns but not to become a family again his only goal is to rebel against me for something normal ( as he is raised to believe about slavery and remember before Moses had learned about his true origin he didn't care about abuse of Hebrews either ) and his only care is about his" damned " people and his unknown God not about me.He doesn't love anymore neither he consinders me a brother he even returns my gift and he wants to abandon me for good after destroying the power of my empire. Well I will break his heart as he he broke mine.

Holy shit your comment is so right. I'm glad you wrote it, I better understand now what I didn't notice. Like, wtf, Ramses is not even bad at all... Moses did damage to him

In tue Bible I'm not sure of Mpses and Ramses were this close they may have been but what I can recall o think they were rivals all the time. And when Moses killed the Egyptian he ran cause the pharaoh wanted to kill him once it was known what he had done. It's still sad he never knew he was adopted and found out the hard way and he then ran and lived in the dessert and married his wife and found God. He had a lot on his shoulders from the very beginning
