Wait a second did Elton John just sing Proud Mary completely in a falsetto? I had to listen to that three times to focus on each of their voices. Cher’s singing voice is unmistakable obviously because of her unique sound. Bette is obviously the rock singer making sure the song keeps true to its classic rock tune. Then Elton is just blowing my mind with his ability to harmonize so perfectly with both Cher and Bette using his falsetto during most of that song just blows my mind. Also his ability to go from a chest voice to head or head to falsetto is beyond my comprehension.

You're absolutely right! Saw Elton in Europe about '72 in a little bar when he was not much more than a struggling folk singer. By '75 he had changed his act for those that came after him to copy.
