That's too bad. I don't see what's so hot about MG in this movie. I mean she ain't ugly but she's not "HOT". To me she just looks like some farm girl, and I don't mean a pretty tomboy kind of girl, I mean she looks like the kind of girl that's spent plenty a year doing farm labor. The girl that played Cherry though, now she was smokin! Her facial features were way more attractive (to me anyway) that MG could ever hope for. Personally I have never seen MG as attractive IRL or in the movies. Again, she's not ugly, but she never pitched a tent for me. When I saw this movie I felt bad for Cherry at the end. It seems like they played the annoying aspect of her (being a synth) at the end more so just to make it easier to dump her ass and the audience not have to feel bad about it. I would have kicked Melanie's ass out of the plane and flew off into the sunset with Cherry if it were me.

And now we know WHY Japan is not having kids anymore. 4:25 - You might point out that this film came out on video at the same time Working Girl, Ms. Giffith's actual hit movie, came out. You are right about Miracle Mile (Yes, I am the only other person who has seen it) and the fact that the women in this film are awful, AND predictors of what you guys have to deal with now. Good job as usual and if you have not done Miracle Mile yet, I suggest it as a double bill with Dead End Drive-In (1986), another great film nobody saw of this era.

I classify this type of movie as "Did the best they could with what they had to work with". I mean, the premise of the Movie, the Plot - itself doesn't have much appeal. And you can tell the budget was fairly low. But the director and writers did a fairly decent job at delivering a Top Notch B-Movie. And at a time when Griffith wasn't quite a Big name yet. Overall, not a great movie by any stretch, the acting is terrible, but somehow this is very enteraining. Not for everybody though...
