@CommunityUUG

Actually they did this test in the states but the results varied. In some places, people just held on to their trash and took it home...but in other places oh lord. Since there was no trash can, someone would just place their trash in a spot on the ground and others would just place their trash in the same spot, creating a big trash pile.
@MezThorbonizer
@MezThorbonizer 9 жыл бұрын
I noticed that in Tokyo when I visited. Almost no trashcans on the street. Also, very few places to sit and rest as you are walking down the street that aren't part of a café or restaurant. Seems like they want to keep you moving. =P No wonder the Japanese are generally slim.

I'm from Indonesia You know, in the past, we had a very bad story about Japan, and we always learn in in our history lesson in school. But it's just to introduce our country's history to young generation. We still love Japan, so many of us love about Japan culture, and many universities have "Japanese Language" class. Even me, I will be more appreciate with man who loves manga or anime. And I always hope I can come to Japan, oneday, with my love.

Oh what!! Thank you! We thought they were like baby turtles or something... lol Jun even asked me to try to google and figure out what it meant when baby turtles fluttered their legs like that and I couldn't find anything at all. "IT SAYS THE MOMS LEAVE AFTER LAYING EGGS I DON'T GET WHY THESE BABIES ARE STILL NEAR THEIR MOM"
@djokawari1
@djokawari1 9 жыл бұрын
***** If you have a female turtle, make a tub of soil for her so she can lay her eggs. I'm building one now for the turtle I rescued. If a female turtle doesn't have time in the soil every week for at least an hour or so, it won't be able to lay eggs and it could die. Be careful.

A beautiful visit to the park, but somehow I remember cherry blossom time as far more florid...? I'm not complaining. The video is beautiful and, as always, culturally informative. The large rodent in water appears to be what, in Texas at least, is called a _nutria_, also known as a _coypu_. The South American species was imported into Louisiana for its fur, but it was inadvertently released into nature and has been quite invasive. Thanks for the pictures.

Uhhhh I really don't know!! D:> I've only been to Tokyo a couple times! It sounds like there's gotta be a bunch of "Top 15 places to see the sakura in Tokyo" lists out there on the internet, though!

いいね!私の日本の旅行に桜があまりありませんでした。本当にざんねんです。東京は京都より少しあたたかいですから、東京の公園に桜を見ました。でも、うめがもうありました。

If you went to a park in America and there were no trash cans, the park would be overrun with litter. Even if you go to a park with trashcans, some people decide to litter anyways. My favourite is when you see garbage on the ground no more than 20 ft away from a can. -_-

Look I understand she loves Japan and stuff but that doesn't mean she has to keep downing America all the time... Just say what you like, you don't have to keep saying the cons about America because there's plenty but that's everywhere.

Tammy Johnson I'd love for you watch more of my videos where I talk about the things I love in America and the things I don't like in Japan. Looking at the sidebar right now it recommends our video on getting an apartment, where I talk about how awful the fees are here; the Japanese Burger King video, where I talk about how Japanese burgers aren't as good as American burgers; and the becoming Japanese video where I talk about wanting to keep my American citizenship because I still love my home country and warn people who like Japan that even though it's awesome it has cons just like everywhere else. On this channel we love to talk about cultural differences. In many cases both of us are going to have a preference for the way one country does things. In this case, I (I believe understandably) prefer how people in Japan don't litter as much as people in America. It's not downing my home country--it's pointing out a cultural difference that I find fascinating. I've pointed out hundreds of other differences in the past, many where I preferred the American side and many where I preferred the Japanese side. I hope you can find the time to watch more of our videos so you can come to understand us more. Thank you for watching! :)

In my country, it's scientifically proved that if there's not a trash can at a few meters or less of you, people will litter. Beaches in my city are dirty as hell. People simply don't care.

Hey you guys, something totally unrelated: Could you do a video about 'being a vegetarian in Japan' or something like that? I am a vegetarian (also don't drink alcohol, is that weird in japan??) and I know many dishes are based on Seafood or there's weyper/weipa in them, so I was interested in how you can "survivie" as a vegetarian :D So I know there should be vlogs out there that cover this, but I thought it might be a nice idea, especially since Jun is interested in cooking and stuff... Just an idea :) Love from Tuebingen (Germany)

We actually have a large Sakura festival in Vancouver, Canada. The main event is over 2 days at one of our many parks, which is much like the ones in Japan. And there is all sorts of celebrations from traditional dance, kite dances, painting, picnics... Throughout the month of April. And we have over 130,000 cherry and plum (ume) trees! 😊🌸
