When talking about value for money I think it’s important to recognise this calendar was from a smaller business rather than a large conglomerate. I thought the calendar was delightful and the items, particularly those with personalisation, showed thoughtfulness and care by the creator.

To add to your great comment… it is really expensive for small companies to produce paper products, especially with gold foil and other touches! And since their client numbers are much smaller their costs are greater than a huge conglomerate. It doesn’t matter if they are creating the products themselves or completely outsourcing the products, the reality is that the process are higher there smaller the production run. I wish I could support them and buy their gorgeous advent calendar, but unfortunately, I enjoy by watching others since my health worsened and I had to quit working. Cherry definitely has enough joy to share!

£109 for 24 items is only around £4.50ish average per item not including the beautiful packaging. Being from a small biz and with some items customised too, I think its really lovely! I couldnt afford it myself but really enjoyed the video and loved seeing all the pretty stationary unboxed 😍 I do agree with you there about the pages of the notebook being disappointing at the end 🙈 the cover was gorgeous but I love when there is a little illustration running through the pages!

@m.i.n.9000 when you buy things in a shop they do tend to mark up prices above what it cost them to produce 😉 Like I said, the 4.50 isn't including the packaging. I've no idea what the packaging would cost to produce but it's not going to be 0 lol.

It is a cute calendar, sadly I think that the whole budget for it went into the box and not the items inside. Yes, the box is cute and great for displaying, but what are you going to do with so many paper clips, bookmarkers and the paper mushroom thing. The only things I personaly liked were the notebook and the calendar. Is just not worth the price for me and im sad cause I really wanted to like it.

I completely agree. The theme and packaging is cute but for that price, no thanks. I feel like they did the bare minimum that they could get away with and called it day. Like Charry said, they could have done a lot more on the details and provided us with proper substance instead of flimsy star, cheap paper bookmark and ribbons.

For a paper lover and crafter, this calendar is perfect! You can use SO many items to craft other items/gifts for friends and family. I love it!

unpopular opinion, apparently, but i think this was worth the price, considering the price of good quality stationary items. And especially the packaging needs to be considered part of the gift. This seemed a lot more carefully curatedl than some of the mass market ones.

The packaging is such a dream ! The contents are sweet, not everything is amazing, but overall, it's a nice selection of stationery items, and the customisation is very thoughtful.

I think it was worth it. It’s roughly 4 pound a day which feels about right for what it is, maybe some items a bit more. Then you get those amazing books and the custom box. It’s worth it

This calendar is STUNNING! I see you weren’t too excited about some items but maaannn all of these surprises are perfect for a stationery lover. The ruler has that “fancy bit” at the end because it’s supposed to be used as a bookmark. I loved every single thing you unpacked and I think most of the cost went towards the artwork and the customization of some of the items. This is totally worth £109, stationery is hella expensive haha

I think they are intended as a gift tag and it becomes a bookmark. Perhaps putting a nice ribbon through them when putting on a package. And the perfect gift to put in the package is, of course, a book. Take the gold ruler to your work. Sometimes people want to know how long a bracelet is, or earrings, it will come in handy there.

I agree. Although I think it’s silly they didn’t include the string or ribbons to attach them to a package. That would have been easier to understand what they are and make it easier to actually use them. ❤

This is a really nice advent calendar! The artwork was so pretty, the costumization a nice youch, and overall it looks of good quality. If it is a small business this is definitely worth the price!

I work in a NHS appointment booking department, and 99% of these stationary items i swear by and use on the daily for extension numbers, daily notes, paper rounds around the hospital etc. so I loved this! I wish I had alot of it myself and the question at the end about being harsh, yes I do see possibly being a bit too harsh with it. Its £109, stationary is hella expensive anyway and I'd have loved to have got one myself! Definatly going to consider getting some MB products in the fiture.

I feel like this was one of the best advent calendars you’ve reviewed so far. I love stationery so I think this was definitely has to be my personal favourite. Maybe this advent calendar would have been more suited for people who really enjoy using stationery because I could find myself using a lot of what’s in the box. Also maybe it’s just me but I actually liked that not everything was “exciting and super thrilling and enchanting forest” because while those sticky notes with designs do look cute, they limit the space I have to write and they make stuff difficult to read if I write over them. I honestly found this advent calendar really well thought out because it includes lots of things that can be used in our day-to-day life that isn’t too “over the top”. Like I want to be able to clip my things together or write on a stick notes without having to look at all the distracting designs and colours popping out. (I know stationery with designs are really cute but sometimes they’re just so unnecessary and distracting when you’re trying to work on something important) Oh right you can hang up the calendar somewhere. Since it’s really light, those tiny transparent hooks that stick on the wall should work. Then you just flip it every month. (It’s not for you to just chuck in your drawer)

Hi, Cherry! I personally think the presentation was better than the realization, but this is beautiful! Idea....adhere 2 of the paper bookmarks back-to-back, give a good coat of mat modpodge, add your own ribbon, tassel or bauble in the top hole. Then use a fancy clip from the calendar to attach the bookmark to a gift, or card...or a giftcard! That would be an easy, personal and useful gift add-on using your calendar supplies! Thanks for a banging advent season so far!!

I think those gift tags are meant to double as bookmarks, so if you are giving a book for Christmas, it comes with a bookmark that is ready for use.

Im 50/50 on this. Alot of cute items but some not so much, and some doors could've been combined to make room for other stuff. Like 1 mushroom ornament by itself? They could've put like 3 or 4 in there, stuff like that 🤷‍♂️

I actually prefer unlined notebooks, but overall I do feel like they could carried through the woodsy theme overall. The notepads could have had more illustrations, and all of thr metal items could have had more on theme engravings. It started out very magical but ended up being only somewhat magical.

Hi Cherry! I just got home from work and my third parcel was waiting for me! I now have all of the pins and I even got the special halloween pumpkin one. I adore it!!! Also the pumpkin patch candle smells absolutely wonderful. It is probably my favorite so far. I also got more sleeping dragon tea which also my favorite. Thank you so much for the pumpkin pin. I really do love it! Oh and also thank you for the business card. The gold foiling on it is so classy. It's very premium.
