Bands evolve and Led Zeps core remained the same, people said the same about Radiohead but I saw them before Pablo Honey and rite up to Pool shaped Moon, and they like Zep "evolved" some people think that means there not as good as before but that's their problem cos its them that cant evolve, viva la music.❤

If Presence came out in 1970 and lll came out in ‘76 ... switch places... then Presence would be so much more well known, more appreciated. I think it’s mostly the timing of it all. It was LZ’s 7th studio album. They’d already set the bar SO FREAKIN HIGH (for themselves as well as all other bands). Punk was coming into the scene. A lot of factors, but ultimately it was the timing in my opinion. Looking back now (or anytime from the 90s on) a lot of, if not all of what I’ve mentioned no longer applies and we can see the entire LZ catalog from a different perspective. I agree it’s definitely the most underrated LZ album. Achilles alone is just mind blowing.

Funny that many think that Presence is not a good album that their skills were declining. Actually, it’s one of their best, if you’re not just into the radio friendly tunes. It has some of Page’s best playing and some of Zep’s best compositions. Not a bad song on the album. One of my favorites.

Soulful, emotionally charged, bluesy tunes that bring out the very best in Jimmy and Robert. This performance in particular, just makes one realize that here are two of the best rock elements in the world, EVER, and how their yin weaves so tightly and perfectly with their yang; and that there will never be another Led Zeppelin - for the rock Gods, they broke the mold.

Pat King I hate it when someone compliments two musicians, some folks think they are slamming the others in the group. I’m with you, my friend. I’ve seen Plant and Page perform separately and those were great shows but nothing compares to Plant & Page together. I wish they could put their differences aside and play together again, for the sake of their fans. ❤️🤗

Being a guitarist for a number of yrs, there was a time long ago in days of old when magic filled the air, that magic was Jimmy, Robert and company. This is classic stuff from the maestro that conceived and wrote it much less played it even in his on-going yrs. Jimmy is a guitar god and while some today my not give him his due, his library of work and accomplishment of the greatest rock band in history cannot be denied. I love this tune. Bonamassa is a great blues player but not Jimmy or LZep.

For all you clinical guitar fanatics that say that Jimmy is sloppy...give me sloppy any day if that's what it takes to create the emotion that he did on all those albums...it's called personal style you WALLIES. Listen to Jimmy Hendrix...that's the problem with guitarists today, they don't have what these guys have; if you can produce the music that they can then comment, otherwise keep your stupid comments to yourself. Even just eyes closed on a stretcher (I can feel the laughter already-it doesn't matter NOW,so-go for it mad hatters) even just this track, and definitely "Ten Years Gone" Absolutely no question in my mind whatsoever, PURE healing music.

Well exactly that ... Deliberately played with a little bit of sloppy on it. Just like life, like Rock is supposed to be, a little sloppy, . I love Jimmy and almost everything he ever wrote, I don't really have another word for it other than sloppy. I'm sure it's intentionally done. Probably his trade mark in my opinion. There is a part of Rock life that sloppy and fukked up kinda go hand and hand. Been playing almost 40 years myself and know many of Jimmy's riffs, runs, licks he is the King riff master. I looked it up in the dictionary. Right beside the word" cool "there's a pic of Jimmy. 🤘

People think I am crazy, but I really feel this is the best blues track LZ ever composed. Why? It is so REAL. The lyrics are so heartfelt. They are about Plant being separated from his wife and kids due Britain's insane tax laws at the time. Plant had to part company from his wife after their terrible auto accident in Greece. He couldn't afford to live in England. His wife was too hurt to leave the hospital.

I cannot even believe this performance. I love the drummer's inversion in the opening riff. try counting that out. Zep was the master of slow blues. But this is so slow that its a wonder and a testament that they are able to bring this to a finish. I love how heavy the main 2 chords are given the vast spacing around them.
