CHESAPEAKE BAY 1000 IRON BUTT CHEEK Pt-2

PT-2 I’m calling this the Chesapeake Bay Butt Cheek! Just one. The CB1000 consists of two full laps around the Bay in Maryland, USA. The route takes you through parts of Maryland, DC, Virginia and Delaware as well. This will be part of an IB series and playlist Which will include a number of tips for planning, riding and successfully completing an IBA certification ride. I’m looking to do this route and came across your channel. Congrats on your FULL butt cheek. 🤗 That 95 traffic is wild. Do you know if you can take a backroad along 95 and still get credit? Or do you HAVE to ride 95? Asking for myself.

Hi! Thanks for you comment and question. The full highway route is about 18.5hrs with no traffic delays or stops. So, that already doesn't give a lot of wiggle room. There is Rt 40 and Rt 1 that run parallel at certain sections of 95. But, I think they would really just eat up time and when you're tired going 35/40mph with stop lights may be even more energy draining. But, everyone is different. You may do just fine with those as alternatives. Good luck with your attempt and please do let me know if you get the full butt! :-)
