One of the best premier league games ever. It doesn't get enough credit because it wasn't seen as a big game at the time. Also this was Chelsea first win over Blackburn in the EPL era.

Aside from the 2-0 win in the 1988 play-offs, this was the first time I saw a Chelsea victory at Ewood Park. I cant remember beating Blackburn at home until 2003 either ... real bogey team for us a few years back

Flo was always my favorite Chelsea player as a kid. I remember my dad asking me If I wanted Zola on the back? and me asking for Flo instead lol. Great Player!!

@@BroskiRIP Stupid mick mccarthy played him as a target man replacing Quinn. Idiot just because he was tall he'd suit that role. Never played as a target man at any of his previous clubs, always preferred facing the goal

As a kid I met Laudrup while wearing my Chelsea shirt... He pointed at it and smiled. He went to Chelsea shortly after. (Met him in Cameron House in Scotland) wasn't many Chelsea fans back then.

If the red card wasn't bad enough (Perez got sent off for being punched by Le Saux!), you can see Tim Sherwood actually encouraging the ref to get his own team-mate sent off! Never was a fan of Sherwood. Always thought he was a fairweather player. Soon jumped ship to Spurs when the chips were down.
