I think a fun idea, albeit hard to set up, would be to try to find mates in 1 that Martin DOES miss. For example will he underpromote to a knight to get a mate in 1 or see a smothered mate

Suggestion: Cannonball chess Every two moves, Martin fires a cannon at a random square and if your piece is on that square it dies. But Martin's pieces have put on cannonball-proof armor so the cannonballs don't do anything to them. Good luck!

Challenge: draw Martin with only a king (also draw by repetition doesn’t count unless it’s forced, and neither does draw by agreement, which I don’t think bots do, but I’m not taking any chances) so you only win if it’s by stalemate or insufficient checkmating material)

Challenge idea: you only "win" if you force a draw against Martin by the 50-move rule, and he has to have at least 5 pieces or pawns on the board other than his King.

Those challenges would be easier to do against human at that rating, I tried no pawn moves against Martin, it took something around 40 moves for him to take a pawn and unlock my bishop.

Challenge Idea - every piece is locked (except for pawn) and when you capture a piece you spin the wheel to see which piece you can move (and if you give a check with a locked piece then it is unlocked forever) you have to try to beat martin while all of your pieces are locked.

Headless Horseman : a knight and that knight can collect souls (pieces). If you capture a soul, you can reborn the queen and move it. You can’t move queen unless the knight captures a soul, you can move only the original queen ( if you promote, you can move that queen freely ), you can save your souls which means you could capture a piece with your horseman and you move a different piece and not the queen, you can save that soul and stack it. And you can only have one headless horseman so that means if you lose the horseman, your queen is dead.

You should try having only 4 bishops and 3 knights in the 1st rank also including the king, 8 pawns on second rank but they can only promote to rooks. The same pieces but for white the king will be bottom left, for black the king will be on the bottom left. You should try Martin and then Nelson it's a 1050 elo bot jump but I think you can do it. Harder version: NO PAWNS!!!

Challenge: Chess, but you have to change bots every move the opponent makes. Example: Martin makes the first move, Nelson makes the second move, Levi makes the 3rd move, stockfish makes the 4th move etc. Make it use at least 10 bots. If its two easy. Elimate all bots under 1000 elo.

The difference between a 400 and 250 rated chess player is that when a 400 hangs a queen, they don't embarrass themselves by having their queen undefended and can't miss a recapture.

Challenge vs. Martin (and other bots): Survival Starting with Martin (can be just against Martin, if desired), play normally against the bots. However, if they capture anything, that carries onto the next match (ex.: if you lose your light square bishop, you don't have one to use in the next match).
