2:09 i would have played Ke5 than he would have took the knight in e5 with pawn, and then white Bishop B7 attacking the tower, he moves the tower in B8 and then black bishop take the pawn in A5 menacing the queen; bishop black in C7 menacing the tower and at that point the tower would be in big trouble. what do you think about? the first move (Ke5) is just to free white bishop

When I see an older American chess player like the smoker guy here who can talk about Fischer I give them respect because there is always a good story behind it about how they learned chess and played while serving in the military decades ago (usually in Europe) or similar.

The opponents of Hikaru make the mistake of moving just as fast as he does in the opening, while they have 5x as much time. That is the main reason why they lose so fast.

@btdrunkartist8292
@btdrunkartist8292 3 жыл бұрын
@@moi7748 no he doesn't have a good point. This the main problem with lower rated players,the way you guys think. If the dude with the white pieces takes his time and plays slow,that will just give Hikaru more time to think. He has to play fast. The more he thinks the more Hikaru thinks too.
@ym276
@ym276 3 жыл бұрын
@@btdrunkartist8292 Yeah but it's still better to take time and play better moves. If he had spent more time to find the winning combination Nxe5 and Bxb7, he would have had much better chances than in the game

@@btdrunkartist8292 Your point makes absolutely no sense, because when Hikaru's opponent does not take his time, he will definitely make more and worse mistakes. His best chance is to at least try to avoid that. To play just as fast as Hikaru is the worst approach one can take, especially in the opening.

When he checkmated the first guy, look at the value of their pieces. Black had his queen still, yes, but white didn't have to lose his bishop near the end. The huge difference is how quickly black developed a strong attack against the king.
