This kind of video is why I will always be a ginger GM fan. The guy plays like me (only a whole Lot better) and makes mistakes like me. Somehow he still manages to win these games. Truly the everyman’s GM

You have to admit that shallow calculation against your 1845 opponent was much more fun that try-hard mode!

fun game, not precise but good attack

After Ng4 Bc3 Nh6, I understand that keeping that monster DSB on that gorgeous long diagonal is satisfying but it looks like just Bd2 was winning at least a pawn while keeping the attack ^^

After black went Nh6 wasn't the knight trapped after Bd2?

No matter how much calculation I've practiced I haven't really seen much evidence of it increasing my overall playing speed, which is really the deciding factor in most online play. I wonder if it's just an uphill climb trying to improve my speed of calculation when it's measured against my own neurochemistry and the decline that comes with age.

Just play longer time games?
@travisnobleart Жыл бұрын
@aaronsontube2647 I would love to but I don't believe the sites have sufficient ways to counter smart cheaters at longer time controls. I understand cheating happens at all time controls, but even a monkey can play like Magnus at 15/10. And I get the argument that there are more fair players than cheaters, but the psychological effect of the possibility of cheating is really upsetting. If you play for a long time against bots, you actually become so tunnel visioned to obvious piece blunders. Part of the reason I stopped practicing winning middlegames with stockfish. I just want to play humans.

@@travisnobleart Hence why we should play online for fun and play OTB to improve.

@random9-548 been a long time since I played anyone OTB. I can't deny it's a great idea.

@@travisnobleartRapid cheaters are much rarer than you think, and and when I do encounter them, it is quite obvious they are cheating or they are banned afterwards. It doesn’t leave an impact on me since it’s so rare and I know I didn’t lose on my own accord. Vast majority of 15+10 players are there for a real game. I’m more annoyed with online toxicity than cheating honestly.

Thais was me 😅 i missed qa5 instead of qb6 and after you played h5 I should've taken the pawn with my knight and if you sacrifice the exchange i recapture with my queen i played pretty quickly cause i was in a hurry but otherwise well played 🫡
