Dubov's Phenomenal opening preparation leaves Nepomniachtchi clueless | World Blitz 2022

There was some tension in the air between Nepo and Dubov after Nepo played a World Championship match against Carlsen and Dubov helped the Norwegian. But that tension seems to have been resolved as you can see from the initial moments in the video where Nepo and Dubov are speaking with each other with great camaraderie.
However, over the board it's a big fight as Dubov plays the opening very quickly, while Nepo tries to figure his way. Dubov's ...Rd8! is a new move and by this point Nepo is down to a minute as compared to Dubov who hasn't gone down below 3. It's a game from which you will learn a lot not only about opening, but about attack and finishing off your opponent.

Magnus vacated his title but even if he didn't, stylistically you need someone who's very gifted with tactical motifs and geometry to beat him (that's where Magnus makes the most mistakes). Dubov has that but I'm not sure his opening repertoire is disciplined enough for long time controls. Like you said, there are a few teenagers coming up who have the style and repertoire to potentially beat Magnus but they need time and experience before they're ready for a world championship match (iirc youngest world champion was Kasparov at 22/23)
