In this video, IM Andrey Ostrovskiy continues the series on the French Defense with the Paulsen Variation. If white continues after 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 with 3.Nc3, we enter the Paulsen Variation of the French Defense. The main focus of this video is on the basic ideas, strategies and plans for both sides after the move 3...Nc6.

I won't get tired of saying it. I love these OTB presentations with great camera angles and lighting. It really helps me in a different way than 2D screens, I can retain concepts better for when I play my OTB games. It takes more work on your part, but I appreciate it alot. Thanks so much!

You are right that the recording of OTB videos requires indeed more effort compared to 2D screen videos. At 9:31, after a3 Bxg2 Rg1, doesn’t White regain the pawn with Rxg7 after the Bishop moves ?
