In this video, IM Andrey Ostrovskiy continues the series on the French Defense with the Rubinstein Variation. If white continues after 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 with 3.Nc3 and after 3...dxe4, we enter the Rubinstein Variation of the French Defense. As white recaptures the pawn on e4, the same position can also be reached via the move order 3.Nd2 dxe4 4.Nxe4.

I have no idea how this channel haven't blow up yet. By far the best explanation of the Rubinstein variation and the French defense as whole available on youtube.

But what about the queenside pawn majority? Surely that's an issue in the endgame.
