For the draw, you could also go B4 C5 D6 PC7 D7 (Black runs the H file and queens first) then you queen with check and force a draw.

That trap in the London in the first game is very questionable. I have done it and found myself in a lot of trouble with my weak king even being up a bishop. Havent done it since.
