I used to work in Levy, it was supposed to be a up and coming area to buy property but never took off! All restaurants you show on the map on The A6 are asian restaurants. In general, it is a rough area and is Indian/Pakistani heavy area.

Jacky Hui Didsbury, Cheadle, Heaton Moor, Sale, Altricham, Urmston, Prestwich, Worsley, Chorlton are all nice depends on your budget and requirements (schools, shops, transports etc). I wouldn’t recommend buying a house without knowing the area. Better rent for a few months then you look around the neighbourhood etc and see how you like it. In uk, areas can be very different even it’s only a couple of miles apart.

Peggie Liu thanks for your reply I will consider to live in east Didsbury and chorlton. I hope i can rent a house for a reasonable price. As a lot of people on this group are considering buying a house for investment, this really would not a good indication on the property price.

Jacky Hui E Didsbury and Chorlton are nice and great for professionals and young families. Also consider West Didsbury which has a different vibe to E Didsbury. Withington is very close to Didsbury and and worth considering. I used to live in Withington/Didsbury. I like them for different reasons. However, I would not recommend Levenshulme. It’s ok to go there for a day for the market for whatever but not for living. The best indication of whether it’s a good area is your neighbours, it reflects the quality of neighbourhood and house prices.
