500 g Chestnuts
1 Cup of Water (240 g)

We carve a long slit with a sharp knife from their concave surface

We choose chestnuts without cracks or holes
In a bowl, cover them with hot water to soak for 20 minutes
Put 500 g of chestnuts in a pan
Place them in one layer
Pour 1 cup of water (240 g)
Cook on medium heat for 10-15 minutes from the moment the boiling starts
Stir constantly every 2-3 minutes
Boil with a closed lid
Towards the end of the boil, stir more regularly
When the water evaporates, remove them from the heat
Add a little salt
