I got one of these from AliExpress at your suggestion. What I noticed was that normal 21700 flat top batteries (molicel P45) will not work in this flashlight. They are just not long enough. I had another 21700 that was a few millimeters longer and it worked fine. Also included was a short barrel that apparently will accommodate an 18350. Should anyone want to use one of those. Lanyard and clip were missing from my shipment.

Flashlight school is enjoyable. Why did the term flashlight emerge? Was torch the original name which I imagine came from flame torches? Ok I just googled and see that originally battery torches used to be quite bad so flashed a lot.

I wanted one too until I got one. I didn’t like it because the beam was so narrow that it just doesn’t light up enough so I never used it. Of course it throws really far and that’s fine but in my mind, it’s better if something throws really far but also illuminates a lot of the stuff that’s far away. Like for instance if you were a police officer and you were chasing someone and they were very far away they could very easily jump out of your beam, and then you wouldn’t know where the heck your enemy was. So you want something that throws far but also has a little bit of spill in my opinion. At least that’s what I want. So you may not like it. But if you’ve got tons of flashlights, and you just wanna add one to your collection whatever but you might not end up using it practically

I have an m1, m2, and w35. Honestly I think the m2 is the most well rounded do all flashlight. It seems way less fragile than the m1 and is quite a bit smaller. You can get an m2 for $100. They were $85 a few days ago.
