Stellar video. This looks like a really fantastic little light overall, and a perfect EDC recommendation for a non-flashlight-person.

Fenix, and Olight both offer slightly smaller models. But each with a price-hike of $65.oo instead of $40.oo only. Also, those are bezel-up designs that don't put the side switches in ideal positions when reaching for the light clipped to a pants pocket. Clip on the Fenix rotates too freely. Clip on the Olight is one specific position only. I do like the fact that both of them can run on alternate types of batteries (RCR123A for the Olight/ CR123A for the Fenix). While the Thrunite can't. Although the Fenix lags behind at only 750 rated lumens. While the Olight competes well. *Still,* I bought the T1S. Price was a big factor. I like that I can rotate the clip to any position I want in relation to the side switch. Bit of extra length and low-profile carry clip means the T1S is the one least likely of the three to fall out of a pocket. Also, no ridiculous proprietary charging method to deal with. Wish I could run a non-proprietary cell in the T1S. But that's a minor issue with me.

I have a lot of Thrunite flashlights and it's my favorite brand. The best thing with Thrunite is the user interface: shortcuts to firefly and turbo while low, medium and high are memorised. Fenix was my first favorite brand but abandoned it because of lack of firefly and all modes are memorised. If you want low mode and last time used it on turbo, bad idea... The UI of Thrunite means you will never accidently activate turbo. Great idea to separate the two extreme brightness levels from the normal levels. I have T1 since earlier and just ordered T1S. I actually don't know how I missed to notice this light earlier. While T1 has a wonderful smooth beam it's good only for very short distance. T1S will be useful for some more distance.

I'm wondering if this is a good buy since I already have quite a few Hank lights and convoys with good tints. I'm thinking it'll be good to have something tiny that I wouldn't worry about beating up.

Black or grey. Why do they both look so good!
@Campfussell2 жыл бұрын
I just got my Thrunite T1s tonight. I love it, but I'm torn between it and the T1 for what I use it for. I usually clip the T1 to the bill of my cap when I go out to my feeding stations where I feed the local critters. So I clipped both the T1 and the T1s to the bill of my cap as I was refilling feeders etc. Switching back and forth between the two. Then I turned them both on at the same time while they were attached to the bill of my hat. I'm ruined, that is what I prefer now. The T1 floods the area so well and the T1s punches through so I can be aware of my surroundings at a further distance. It's like having a double barrel flashlight attached to your bill and both are so light I don't even notice. I guess if it came down to it, I would chose the T1s over the original T1. You guys need to try them both attached to your caps. My favorite flashlights of the dozen or so that I have.

I would say neither of these versions are winning beauty awards for quality of light, but it’s hard to deny how small and well designed this light is otherwise. A lot of lumens in a really small package.

Yah and I can tell just by looking at the clip and how you had it clipped to your hat that it sucks as a hat light. It will move around and fall off too much.

used one of these to fix a hole in my tire a couple weeks ago and honestly if you push it on tight, the light doesn’t move or fall off at all

@@MyndJourney if it fit a hat right, which this one doesn't, you don't need to push it on tight. You just confirmed my previous statement. It's not a good clip for hats.

@@MyndJourney tight means it is not fitting properly. Tight means it is too narrow and just pinches the hat at the edge of the brim and it will move around and fall off easily. Cheers.

I agree. There just isn't enough space inside either bend of that clip for a hat bill or thick pants material. It will probably still work, but not as well as it could have. I wonder if an Olight S1R II clip would fit, as it has more space.

"....the HIGH is oing to be an 1hr and 20 min....". IF you use it in sub-4 minute bursts. Something most companies don't bother to tell us. I doubt you can have this light on turbo for 5 minutes CONSTAN ON. Likely for roughly 2 2-minute bursts....and a few seconds give or take.... This light oddly is more expensive (in Canada) thant he OLIGHT Baton 3 and a $1 more than the Bato 3 Pro. I'd get the B3 Pro....if I wanted another light of this size. Prefer lights 4" long at least so it sits more comfortably in my size L glove hands. Usually OLIGHT prices their lights well aboe it's competitors in whatever "lass" of lights e.g. 18650 4" lights, 21700 5-6" lights...
