I don't think we understand just how complex Pete's job is onstage. All of the guitar rhythms, riffs, and solos depend on him. Pedal effects, volume control, and dynamic guitar color are essential to what makes Chevelle so incredible, and he's responsible for all of that onstage. In addition, he has written these songs with incredible vocal range, sometimes spanning several octaves at a time. He's also screaming the best he can without injuring his voice, because just one scream too raw in the first song could ruin the entire set. And if that wasn't enough, he's the frontman for the band, so for the most part all eyes are on him. He needs to play to the crowd, be interesting to watch, and bring the audience into the performance. He may have some off nights from what I can see, but overall I think he has a ludicrous amount of talent and does a damn good job.

Several octaves at a time? No lol. But everything else yes. The guy does a fantastic job on the stage. But he has a 2 octave range comfortably at best.

i saw them in Dewey Beach, Delaware, a few years ago. I was fortunately in the front and it was amazing. He did the scream perfect, and as long as the studio version. So dirty.

Siddhartha10100 unlike what most would think, this is a difficult song to play and sing at the same time. I've tried and almost all their songs are much easier.

Yeah I saw them 4 time so far, the first and last couple time I've seen them he was hitting his notes, but the 2nd concert I saw them at, it was pretty painful to listen to him try to hit the notes.

@nickramzey911 They will never play humanoid, the riff is to difficult, he will not be able to manage it live while singing.
