All the other shops had it for a week and then told me they couldn't find the problem. I dropped it of yesterday and now you say it is done. Is this a wind up?" Way to go Mr. O. YES !!!!! Finally a video that is more than 5 minutes to fix the problem !!!! And this one is a MULTI problem fix !!! Went thru a big cup of Krups machine of McDonalds coffee insert, and it tasted great with some chocolate wafers to compliment it !!! Our (yes, our - you are not the only one diagnosing the problem) sleuthing is going along nicely and uncovering bad things that have happened over time !!!! I saw Mrs.O.'s heart lovingly melt when you said the only mistake you never made was marring her - priceless !!!! A bad wire so far, gonna fix that. Then on to the other codes and more sleuthing again. Can't wait for part two !!! Going to fill the Krups water tank because it will take at least two cups of coffee and a few Dunkin Donuts of white cream, blueberry, and jelly fillings to get this vehicle all repaired and an inspection sticker slapped on !!!!!!!!!! 🤪🤨😵‍💫😤👍

Another super video! I'm surprised that thing didn't come in with a new pressure sensor in it already. Most everyone would have just changed the sensor...connect scanner..."blah blah blah fuel pressure sensor blah blah blah". This is the reason why diagnostics is so intriguing to me.

Eric, nice job on that wire. We in the HVAC & R and Commercial Cooking repair trade go through a lot of the same, tracing down missing neutral wires, in your case grounds, chaffed wires shunted to ground giving erroneous readings and the like. Some of the ovens we work on cost as much as a BMW 3 & 4 series, so the customers get a bit mouthy if we don't find the problems on the initial visit/diagnosis. I like the way you never give up, when others would. I look forward to the rest of this/these video(s) on this job. So many times a single shunt or open wire can cause a multitude of faults. Good job!

I am not one to say things on these auto repair videos, but I what thank you for your narrative video. The way you this video, you allow the auto DIY mechanic to watch to understand what you were doing. The cables use over and over again can fail. I work on electronics and keep a well supply of the test cables. I learned long ago never believe it the equipment interior circuit board showing a bad resistor, I now check it with a fresh cable that doesn't have broken interior wires. A+

Man, that was some impressive troubleshooting! That salt certainly is pervasive. I was thinking the car manufacturers may have some stock in the salt producing companies. I’ve owned a ‘62 Chevy II, a ‘65 Olsmobile, a ‘67 Camero, a ‘68 Camero, a ‘72 Olsmobile, a ‘76 Firebird, an ‘85 Firebird, a ‘90 S10 Blazer, a ‘99 Tahoe, and an ‘04 Olsmobile Alero.....they were all rock solid, dependable vehicles. But after this video, the use of a GDI fuel system and the shoddy electrical harness routing that were built into that 2014 Chevy Malibu have put me off of GM products for good. That Eric O owns and drives a Toyota Tundra and a Honda Odyssey is all I need to know.

You're an excellent mechanic Eric, if others couldn't fix it that means if you can fix it doesnt mean others can. So much for your statement that its usually a connector problem but amazing that an emergency brake cable did that, yes POOR design. I just watched the cam solenoid video, I would like to see a cam with multiple lobes. I am surprised people go to other shops when you're the best

nice vid Eric O. Hope you are ready to see the old 2002 Chevy HD to do some work on her! No surprise to me the amount of crude under that cover! My 1987 Chevy PU with the outside frame mounted gas tanks had plastic covers. Within 8 years the covers collected enough crude to rot the gas tank out! I left the covers off when I reinstalled the tanks.

I know this is an older video, but this is exactly what I"m dealing with with my Malibu. Same year, same model. Thankfully I paid for an extended warranty.

Great vid as always but the best part is @ 51:00 when Eric O puts on the master class in Dr O Luv Doctor and pays Mrs O a compliment that genuinely get her giddy and makes her smile bigger than a country mile. Great couple.
