I like the toot at the end of some of the commercials. That made me very happy!

That's the "tag" of an entire song, BTW; the words "Along the Chevron Way" were set to that "toot", as I'm sure you can imagine.. The whole song was written for a commercial from '71 or '72 (on film, not animated, played very straight) that I can't find for the life of me.

I miss the Chevron stations in Pennsylvania, especially the one on Limekiln Rd. at Oley Turnpike Rd.

Betcha never knew this: that "Along the Chevron Way" ditty shares the cadence (minus the first note) of "We're the Bloodhound Gang!" (I know that's not till later, but still...)

Anthony, do you remember a Chevron TV ad jingle from this era, maybe the 1960s? It featured a hula theme and the song went: 🎶“Come to the Chevron Island, South of the Standard sign…”🎶

Here’s one ad from that Chevron Island series, though without the jingle: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qp_WiotmnayKotE

I wouldn't be surprised if the Mystery Machine ever pulled in _here_ en route to a mystery or the malt shop.
