1991 gmc sierra k1500 making the same noise. Thanks for the video. Now I know what to replace.

Thank you. Mine doesn't make noise but it chest doesn't do anything, I have no heat. The temperature door actuator and the mode door both work as they are supposed to, have a new heater core and it flows fine, it puts out heat but vents blow cold. I've checked every diagram and haven't been able to tell exactly where the fresh air actuator is until now. Thank you.

Best video of it out there. Two screws coming out doesn't need a step by step how to like other people are complaining about. You showed everyone what it sounded like which averts a lot of confusion when people describe it in forums. Going to do this replacement this weekend on my 75k mile k series

jason hernandez Jason I’ve been hunting mine for years, finally cleaning up this old truck to sell it and figured I’d track spent this annoying clicking noise and finally solve it.... And this is exactly what my 1994 Chevy Cheyenne 2500 is doing.

Great; mine started banging 4 months ago; drives me nuts. You pretty much showed that other than taking your time this is a doable repair.

Thanks for the video! I ended up taking out the bottom screw and then breaking off the old actuator ripping out the top screw. The new one feels sturdy enough so I have no regrets:)

I'm thinking about doing the same thing ...how did it hold up?

I just ripped my out bc the top screw was aggravating as shit
@statondriggers92007 жыл бұрын
would have been nice to show how you done it plus he showed two different trucks one with it clicking and the other already out if you pay attention to the dash there's a crack in one of the dashes

Hey! I’m looking for this part and is it the same as a HVAC recirculation door actuator?
@rhinoprez33063 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. If you go to the LMC website and go to the dash components section you can actually pick which actuator you need.

That's exactly what's happening to my 95 chevy, thanks so much for posting this video because I had no clue what the heck was going on haha!

My 1987 s10 Blazer started doing the same thing after I had it painted. Trash probably got down there. The dealer quoted as much as two grand to fix it. They said they would have to pull out the dash. Definitely not going to let them do that. We are restoring the Blazer for our son. Got everything else fixed so far. I am the original owner.

Did you get to top screw from the top(dash) or from bottom?
@donaldthomasjr.54104 жыл бұрын
Bottom. Not easy but doable.

Appreciate it and yes I can tell it’s gonna be difficult but going to get the swivel socket wrench I seen you had.

It blows cool air but no heat..
@donaldthomasjr.54104 жыл бұрын
This just switches from inside air to out side air. No heat is something else.

Exactly what I'm fighting right now in my '93. I want to reiterate what you said about that top screw. It is VERY difficult to get out and will test your patience.
@donaldthomasjr.541010 жыл бұрын
Most things in life test your patience. Giving up is easy. The end result of getting it done is worth it. Blessings.

@delmararmstrong56649 жыл бұрын
uh how about showing us how you removed it, not the tada part of having it already removed...and visaversa, how to put it back in, this video is useless
@donaldthomasjr.54109 жыл бұрын
Delmar Armstrong What else do you want? To take it out for you? Take the three screws out and unplug it. It's too tight to get the camera under the dash any more than I did. If you can't figure it out maybe find someone who can.
@delmararmstrong56649 жыл бұрын
no need, there are much better videos on youtube already, they seem to be able to show much more detail than you've been able to accomlish. Just love the complete informational video you put out showing pretty much nothing of value. lol who did you get to +1 this

Nothing like a how-to video that doesn't show the how-to part!! Worthless
