With the new electronic motor, did you still have both fault codes active then programmed to vehicle vin and fault codes went away, or did the only fault code left was vin not pausable .

Faulty rack falt codes were gone I believe it had a code for not programmed

@@globalcommerce7654 Thanks man. I just replaced one, and am having the same issue. It’s a reman from O’Reilly auto parts. I was going to try and get it programmed . It might be defective then .

@@doctordiesel5251 did you try to erase the codes? did you also troubleshoot powers and grounds? I believe it was on this video or I have another troubleshooting it.

@@globalcommerce7654 yeah I tried erasing codes first thing and nothing they come back active. I verified 12v power source and ground both are good. The steering is hard , should it be hard until it’s programmed?

I just installed a used one and got it successfully programmed via the GM SPS programing tool. No need to get a new one.
