In this 33rd video you will get to see a 2003 Chevy SSR. This car is unmistakably one the coolest vehicles on the road and guaranteed to turn head. It is a cross between a truck and a convertible. It is a powerful muscle car with an incredible engine with an unbelievable 0-60! It is practical and fun to drive and has the power for burnouts too. The colours just pop on these cars, with the added fact that so few were made over 4 years they are made for collectors. If you can buy one - They are guaranteed to make you money as a collector car in the long run!
In case you are keeping Track this is Episode 33 of Classic Car ChitChat Videos!
I hope my Classic Car ChitChat video’s make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great KZbinrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
Equipment Used:
Camera - Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!
Contact Details: If you have any questions or just want to chat you can reach me through all the (non-traditional) typical ways through the following:
Facebook - / classiccarchitchat
Instagram - / classiccarchitchat
Email - classiccarchitchat@gmail.com
If you have read this far, then I thank you. As always, I truly appreciate your “thumbs-up”, and by leaving your comments it demonstrates to me that I managed to get you involved and hopefully made you smile. Most importantly when you subscribe to my channel then you are truly acknowledging my effort to help share with others like you my passion and love for “all things that have wheels” and honouring the people who take care of them.
Thank You
Kevin

Jonox, First of all thank you so very much for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. My intention for the videos is to allow "ordinary" people who love cars an opportunity to speak about their car and why that car means so much to them. This is one of those underated cars. They are so unique and still tun heads at every traffic light.. So much fun to drive too.

That has to be the coolest truck on the road with a very cool owner! Great video and chit chatting, you two had me laughing! I really like his old-school approach of describing the car… it’s nice to hear cubic inches etc., after all a chev V8 is a chev V8. Perfect blend of modern and old for both the truck and the driver! I want one now :).

Michael.. we’ll said and I couldn’t agree more. The objective of my videos is to share the passion the car’s “caretaker “ has about their car and allow them an opportunity to share that passion in a friendly “not in your face” style. It’s not about the specs but the person!

Billy, first of all thank you so very much for watching my videos and subscribing to my channel I truly appreciate it. I had to laugh.. is it a car or a truck.. the debate continues. However what is clear that it is brilliant in every way. People always stare at it and they are left with a sense of wonder. What colour is yours?

** update ** If you didn't already know, this is not a 350 5.7L engine, it's a 327 5.3L in it .... for 2005 and 2006 the put the ls2 6.0 which is from the gto, trailblazer ss and the corvette, and in 2006 if you got the manual you had around 400hp

Yes it's a 5.3L vortec 6 speed 4L60E automatic transmission they made it in purple not blue I'm looking at the possibility of buying one with the LS1 corvette engine great trucks although I wish they had a spare tire but they only have a tire inflation kit behind the drivers seat because underneath were the spare should be is where the battery is mounted it is also a fuel injection system not a carburetor of any type

They are a neat car. A bit concerned about an owner who says the engine is a 350 V8 with a 4 barrel carb when in fact the engine is 5.3L (323 cubic inch) and fuel injected.

In all fairness Frank is getting up there in age 😊. He has several cars as you will see on my videos and keeps insisting he won't buy more.. But falls in love with cool cars like this one and he will be the first to admit it's hard to keep track of them all. If you get a chance check out the video on his 67 Corvette Stingray video.. It will leave you speechless.

Kevin as always your videos always make me smile and I love your approach of taking a fun look at the car and getting to know the owner.
