Really enjoy following your videos and your insights. Just got a Livernois tuner but can't seem to get the Strategy Code. Any tips? Appreciate your help and looking forward to seeing more videos from you. Thanks!

Just installed my Livernois tune, 93 Octane Aggressive Plus (an Engine and Transmission tune) MY 2015 Auto. Very impressed initially. deliberate acceleration from a stop and this car chirps the tires in the Sport mode 1-2 shift! it's never done that before. Seems to hold second gear longer. Feels so much better. Driven lightly I can not tell much difference at all. If yours is a daily driver don't let that stop you from getting this tune.

Steven Low that’s awesome to hear! I’m still enjoying the tune. Installed headers earlier this year and got an updated tune to support the added mod. Awesome.

It's so ironic. Some enthusiastic SS owners in Australia rebage their grilles with Chevy bowties in honour of the origin of the LS engine. Over there in the US, you guys are replacing your bowties with the Holden lion or HSV badges! Lots of mutual admiration going on here!

Red SS Roto-Fab intake installed last year. Just deleted secondary catalytic converters and factory h pipe. Replaced with x pipe and straight pipe. Definitely will be interested to see how my 6MT would be with this tune.

I just watched your install and update videos. I have a similar stock setup on my 2015. RotoFab and Borla S type mufflers. Was it confusing or difficult to do the install yourself? I have zero experience with the computer systems of the modern day vehicles. Thanks in advance!

Congrats on the Tune !... I have the Tremec 6066 6speed in mine so I wonder if the tune works the same on the engine I have veen following you for a bit. Cool Channel. I would love to make more time putting together some vids.. I have epic footage of my 2017 white SS doing some insane speeds and cool drifts. I am IN LOVE with this CAR. I currently own a couple of DSMs a 1 st Gen Turbo 2wd coup and a 2nd gen Turbo 2wd Spyder. My Ultra favorite car Has been my 2007 Subaru STI Limited #204 and I ABSOLUTELY MISS that car. Took out 3 motors ( all stock) including One that was hand built buy Subaru Factory and shipped to the US and put in my car... BOOM goes another EJ257. So I decided to Lemon Law the car .. I got all my money back minus new tires for 900.00 on the car. I paid 44,000 for that STI and after I turned it back in I couldnt justify another new car and payment for what was on the market.. so I just kept driving my truck and my Convertible DSM for 10 years..THEN...I got the URGE. I wanted a Camaro SS..then a Camaro ZL1... woah things are getting crazy... I almost pulled the trigger on a 2017 Black ZL1. Mr Red SS Sir, but I am absolutely glad that someone at one of the dealers said " Hey have you ever seen the Chevy SS sedan? I said ...maybe.. a Malibu? He smerked..and He said I have three in the back. Lets go check em out".... and as we walk back and I see a beautiful blue Chevy SS... My mouth drops and i am IN LOVE> .. and just then he says, " unfortunately ALL THREE ARE SOLD. I just get a sadness I havent felt in years about a machine. So I scramble to find one of these cars... THERE ARE NONE LEFT . NOWHERE.... I jump on my Harley and just start riding from Chevy Dealer to Chevy Dealer trying to find maybe one Chevy SS sedan on the lot hidden .....but NONE to be found. I almost gave up. I asked one of the Sales Managers to search for any possible out there.. he replied that No Dealer would even trade him any one of his Corvettes or Electric Volts ( most Popular Chevy vehicles per manufacture numbers) for a Chevy especially after the 20 % sale that Chevy put on. so he clicks around a little on the computer and found 3 left in California.. 2 Green Automatics and 1 White 6 speed manual. Needless to say Sir... I GOT MY DREAM CAR... It doesnt have a number ...but I wish They Did... they are Almost as Rare as my 2007 Subaru STI Limited #204 out of #800. Have a Great Weekend and Drive Awesomely! Regards. Topsnap from the Topsnap Podcast on KZbin

Thanks for sharing some of your vehicles and stories! I also found it challenging to find a SS back in 2016, especially manuals. Long story short I was down to three options and all were automatics that were left. As for the tune, their setup gets rid of the skip shift in manuals. Other than that, you get the same power gains and improved throttle response as automatics would. Their website lists the details. Thanks again for checking out the channel!

OK, so you have had the Livernois Motorsports tune for a while now, what is your verdict? Was it worth it, how is the drivability, any real gains in HP, MPG, etc?? Have you had your car on a dyno since getting the tune??
@RedSS6 жыл бұрын
William Beverly yes to all lol. Posted videos and dyno already a while back where I share my feedback and insight into the tune, there’s a dyno video on the playlist too. Enjoy!

Will i lose my warranty ??
@michaelg5896 жыл бұрын
Seems the focus of this tune is the shifting. Would this be worth it on a manual car?
@RedSS6 жыл бұрын
MikeyBeans87 for manuals the tune removes the skip shift. Otherwise for both transmissions there’ll be power gains, revised fan cooling settings, improved throttle response. www.livernoismotorsports.com/product/LPP611102

Great video. I was wondering what made u decide to go with the Roto-Fab cold-air intake and not a K&N cold-air intake?
@RedSS6 жыл бұрын
J-Rellz VA I like how the RotoFab looks in the engine bay, and seems to have consistent results in the SS. But I’m sure with a good tune on any good intake you’ll get good results! Thanks for checking out the video!

@jimmatyas39196 жыл бұрын
Red SS Hi! I mean the real tuning its supposed to have. You said it was tuned down.
@RedSS6 жыл бұрын
Oh that is just an educated guess many SS owners have shared. The same LS3 in the 5th gen Camaro and last gen Corvette are rated at 425-430hp. Yet the SS is only 415. Leading to the assumption it’s been detuned from the factory.
@vincealince_SRT6 жыл бұрын
Definitely quicker shifts, I’d love to have this Sedan next to my SRT in driveway, see if the wifey will get on board!

I own a 2017 chevy ss and it's complete stock. I've been wanting to add some minor mods but I'm worried about voiding my warranty. Does either of these mods void it or am I just freaking out for nothing?
@RedSS6 жыл бұрын
From what I understand, if the mods are the cause of an issue, then it affects the warranty. That being said, anytime you reflash the PCM/ECU, like I did, you can bet the warranty is out the door. Sometimes you gotta pay to play lol.
@michaelg5896 жыл бұрын
Every ECU flash is recorded in some way. And any flash that wasnt done by the dealer will most definitely void your powertrain warranty.

might be a dumb question but does this void your warranty?

@yobigboy7756 жыл бұрын
It does but when u go get it serviced put the stock tune back on nothing happen ;)
@nkelly2266 жыл бұрын
Actually the only way this would void warranty is if the dealer can prove that it was the tune for 100% that caused any issues ! Look into the Magnuson Moss Warranty act

@dennisshuen38936 жыл бұрын
Does it improve the Tap shaft?
@RedSS6 жыл бұрын
You mean the tap/paddle shifters? The shifts feel sharper, most noticeable when you're driving hard.
@dennisshuen38936 жыл бұрын
Sorry! Actually I meant the response for the Tap shift, is it quicker than before the tuning? You know our cars has a little delay on the tap shift.
@RedSS6 жыл бұрын
okay. The tap shift doesn’t feel quicker when driving normal. But it feels much quicker the harder and faster I drive it. Like it’s adapting to my input. I am hearing it can take a week or so for the tune to relearn, but not sure. Should be a “week” for me on Friday.

Chevy. You can go back to stock using the Tuner device that stores the profile. However the dealer will know of the changes logged in the PCM.
