Is there a difference in the oil pan screw...i hv a 2013 the nut tip on the end is so fragile it strips the nut end not the threads...and i hv to buy a new oil pan screw every time...i know it a 10mm but the nut end os smaller than the whole screw itself...i hv to use a socket for strip nut to get it out....what other screw can i use?

Thank you for the video. I had so many problems trying to get my oil changed today. The nut on the oil plug nearly stripped off. The oil filter wouldnt fit properly into the housing. I accidentally snapped off the prongs on the oil filter and took it back to the store along with the cap. They explained there were two different types of filters and you have to get the one that snaps into your cap. Both me and the guy at the store were completely perplexed when we found that information out.

I always use a box end wrench on the drainpan because sometimes a socket can rock sideways a little under stress as it is when you are loosening it and over time it gets rounded off. I put the boxend wrench on and hold my thumb over the opening to hold it in place and it works very well for me.

The socket sizes were in the video, but, here they are again. 15/16 socket for the oil filter cap. 10 mm for the oil drain plug.
