If you all ready have the Bolt's out just leave the hood off. And make sure you mark the bolts to the hood. Love your videos.
@MattsShopАй бұрын
Yea, I know that trick. Always mark the hood bolts or else it won't close/line up right when you put it back together.
@m_sokoАй бұрын
How do you mean "mark"? As far as driver passenger? Just not mixing up the bolts with others? The direction/depth they are put in or like, circling the bolt/nut with a was pen/marker for lining up?? Thanks!

@@m_soko put a line or mark on the bolt and the hood where they would meet. It will be easier to get it aligned.

Sweeet Hack, as im replacing that braided line that snapped in your video, that's a freaking tight spot for a fella lol this start for 3 seconds and shuts off is kicking my ass
@MattsShopАй бұрын
If it starts foe 3 seconds and shuts off look into the crankshaft position sensor. Especially if you have codes for it.

Hi - Sorry I can't get onboard with this one. When I bought my 06 Tahoe, it needed some TLC. The right front fender had very minor damage as well as the painted bumper cover corner was buggered a bit as well as the chrome bumper scuffed/scraped a bit. I wanted this car to look as new as possible as most of it already did and this is my (forever) car. My hood also stuck up a slight bit higher at those rear corners above the fenders than I'd prefer (but I was nitpicking). Remember Ford had big issues with their hood's rear corners over time sticking rather far up above the fenders on the LTD/Galaxie cars (71-74 especially), I remember. The dealer body shop said that is fairly common on these trucks, that the hood can slightly bend around that area causing this. I had my parts guy bring in a new GM hood, GM right front fender, and the hard to find bumper cover with curved inner edges that isn't wavy (most are wavy by now), and a new GM chrome bumper as well as (while we're at it) new GM front fender flares. Since there were minor clear coat issues on the left fender, the dealer painted everything from the windshield forward and they got all the body panel gaps/alignment done really well. So I'll not be touching any of these things as these look really good on my car right now. But thank you so much for all of your other great tips/tricks/information; it is much appreciated. Merry Christmas!

Hey Matt, my 2006 cat eye loves to blow hot air on the drivers side but cold ac on the passenger side, what do think is going on?
@MattsShopАй бұрын
Probably the little regulator doors in the AC box. They are a pain to fix.
@m_sokoАй бұрын
If your A/C is turned on, coming out passenger side nice and cold but driver side isn't it is likely the driver side blend door actuator. That actuator is the easiest to fix. I just finished doing mine this past weekend and took me all of 30 minutes.

I have an 07 that is eating crankshaft sensors. 5 in a year. Any idea as to why it has this issue. I would greatly appreciate any info.
@MattsShopАй бұрын
Use the Delphi sensors and put a shim on it. They make metal shims for them part number: GM Genuine 12565102 then do the crankshaft variation relearn. If they still go bad the reluctor wheel or the crank bearings are in bad shape (extremely rare).

Pretty helpful to know for the next job. Also, if anyone has a clue on where to locate a water leak. It's dripping from under the dash from the computer down and on the hood release handle soaking my carpets every time it rains. Please let me know. Searched most of the common spots except under the cowl.

James 5:14-15: "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven."
