entertaining, relaxing and thorough video! I made Chocolate Ginger Molasses cookies from NYT Cooking and they seem very similar to these. I'm right with you- a bit too spicy for me but still good

I made these a second time around, omitted the black pepper and reduced the ginger. The spice level was more bearable after that.

Great video! I love a spicy molasses cookie and agree on the coffee dunking. Question - did you bake these on convection setting? I’ve never had good luck with baking multiple sheets of cookies. As far as recipes to try, if you are a coffee lover, try the Coffee Coffeecake. The Chocolate Wave Cake is my planned bake for Sunday afternoon.

The Coffee Coffeecake is on my list for sure! I saw her video and it looks awesome. I did bake on the convection setting but I always adjust the heat down 25 degrees F as it heats more evenly than a regular oven, so never had an issue with multiple sheets. Hope your chocolate wave cake comes out! I'm gonna try the chocolate chip cookies next and compare them to BA's best brown butter ones.

Did you melt the butter then let it reconstitute or just let it sit until it got to be soft/room temp?
