Well I got mine delivered to me on Friday, the trigger in SA is horrendous but the gun excels in the double action style of action shooting. It has great accuracy when used with 4.52mm pellets and is blinding fast at getting on target with each shot. I was using it on moving metal plate targets and it was phenomenally good. Would've been nice to have a decent SA on it but I can live without it when the DA is so good !!!

Thanks for the video. I've been observing the Chiappa Rhino on the real steel market for years. And just some weeks ago I registered there is a CO2-version. Man, I want that for my showcase. And of course, I would prefere the pellet version. Thanx for the vid, and please continue.

As the hammer has no spur I'm guessing that they ment it to be fired double action?I haven't noticed if the original .357 Mag one has a spur.Usually the reason for revolvers not having a spur is to stop it snagging in your clothing as you pull it out and is mainly found on little pocket revolvers.obviously you are not going to have something like that in your pocket.

NOTE: I rushed this review out to make people aware that it's available now, and in limited quantities! Over time, I'd grow more familiar with the gun and I'm sure it'd prove to be more accurate than shown here. EDIT: seems like using the correct oil can make the trigger a lot better! kzbin.info/www/bejne/fl7HmKeMma2Xi80

Quick question... Im stil thinking of what should i buy.. The (6mm)Airsoft or the (4.5mm)airgun version.. I only want this pistol just like.. Kind of you.. Because it's a nice gun. I love how the chiappa rhino look and sence where i live can't have a real one. (What a suprise you can't just have real guns khm right america? ) But i still wnat it to be accurate in some way and i read and asked about already from Chiappa it self that what helps the accuracy in the airgun version? Is it rifeled barrel? Or it's just has more power and thats it? Because i think a rifeling could make it better, also they said that i could be used with both pellett and steel BB. How could you reccomend it using with BB? Im thinking about that the barrell probably made of steel already and using steel BB if it has an immerfection on it might damage the barrel or something and pellets usually made of lead what is much softer nad probabyl wont do as much damage to a barrel. Also this is my reason why im thinking of the airsoft because plastic BB's probabyl wont hurt the barrel that much and it has a hop-up that adds to it's accuracy in some sort. Sorry for the long question.
@MyAirgunPhase4 жыл бұрын
@@Darkghostdragon1996 Okay, there's a lot to answer here, and I'm not a professional, so I will give my OPINION, but you'd need to do more research. A rifled barrel is what helps with accuracy. But this pistol does not have rifling. Lead pellets are generally more accurate than plastic airsoft BB's, because the lead pellets are heavier, and don't move as much in the air, or get affected by wind. You could should metal BB's through this, the barrel is smooth, and they won't damage any rifling. BUT, lead pellets are more accurate than metal BB's, due to their shape. (I'm also paranoid about the steel BB's damaging the barrel, like the SAA revolvers did a few years back) So, I bought the lead pellet version because I feel like it will be the most accurate one. Pellet weight Pellet shape Good luck!

Received mine today and you where absolutely spot on how awful is the single trigger. My sister, who usually shots his CO2 pistol, couldn't even shot it in single action. It's a beautiful gun to collect or fun, just not for precision shooting.

Ah damn, that's such a pity! I was hoping it was just mine. Thank you so much for letting me (and others) know! It is very beautiful, but yeah, strictly for fun. Sigh, oh well, I hope you can still enjoy it.

I think I will return it, I ordered the normal one in black, not the special edition. It came in a cardboard box with a plastic support inside. And you know what? The plastic has the form of the 60ds, picatiny rail and all. So despite they haven't confirmed the 60ds, I will wait for the 60ds hoping they change the trigger ;)

Thanks for your excellent video. I have just bought the basic model and I agree that the trigger is not easy in either action but I love the gun. So much to enjoy. Can I ask if you found a way to make the trigger easier? Did it improve over time? I was your link about the oil but regrettably I don't understand German. Thanks again.
@MyAirgunPhase2 жыл бұрын
I watched the video with automatic subtitle translation, for what it's worth. The trigger got easier in double action over time, but single action is still horrible, sadly. After that, I oiled mine as recommended, but it didn't make a difference for mine. It's such a nice solid and hefty gun, and I still think it's pretty, I just accepted my groups wouldn't be that great. Oh, there's a gold version now!

Bought one just before Xmas. 177 pellet version no hopper comes with moon clip but check groves in shells ,no grove then moon clip will not work . S/ A trigger is ,in my opinion is a bad action. The pickanniny rail should be on top not under barrel so a Red Dot can be fitted which will make it more accurate if you can hold it steady in S/ A. Regards keith

The 60DS has a rail for sighting aids. I have it, it's great fun. The rail below is for lights and lasers as in the real steel world this gun can be a home-defense or daily carry pistol. This limited edition version isn't worth the extra in my opinion ....75 euros extra here....as you just get a cheap case, so stickers, moon-clips that don't fit, a few bits from the real-steel gun. I bought the 60DS in nickel and am getting the same in black....then I'll have two 'limited-edition' colour pistols that are 60DS....and yes it's not hard to swap trigger and 'hammer'....if I can be bothered. May just swap cylinders. I found it to be excellent and my SA is hard but very crisp. DA is brilliant! Shooting cans yesterday at about 35 meters!

Mine is on it's way to me as I type this, I've been waiting since April this year for it to be released. In the end I had to order it from Germany !!! I'm the same as you, about 2 years ago I wrote on one of the UK airgun forums that I really wanted them to make a CO2 Chiappa Rhino and what do you know ? They did !!! Looking forward to finally getting my hands on it, is it compatible with the Dan Wesson 715 shells do you know ? Especially as it's made by Wingun (who also make the DW715), I hoping that it is as I already have over 100 pellet shells for that gun. Do you happen to know what the PCD of the cylinder is ? Just wondering if it will work with the Dan Wesson speedloaders too. Sorry to bombard you with questions buddy, thanks for the upload, very much appreciated.
@MyAirgunPhase4 жыл бұрын
Alrighty, so I'm not sure about the shells, but they certainly LOOK the same, judging by this photo: cdn.airgundepot.com/ay/airgundepot/dan-wesson-715-pellet-revolver-cartridges-25ct-3.jpg As for the PCD, I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that term... if you're speaking about speedloaders, I'm guessing it's something to do with the cylinder dimensions? The spacing between shells, perhaps? If so, then it appears to be exactly an inch from center to center of two opposite shells. And no worries about the questions, it's fun to talk about this! I'll be keen to know about your trigger action too, if you wouldn't mind commenting when you've tried single vs. double. I'm getting used to the single action now, and I do love the looks of it. Anyway, rock on!
@StrathpefferJunction4 жыл бұрын
@@MyAirgunPhase Would you say the single action ruins it, or is it still worth it? It's Judy a lot of money for a gun with poor single action and, potentially, poor accuracy as a result.

@@MyAirgunPhase The Dan Wesson 715 shells are a perfect match for it and if you use HKS 586 (.357) speedloaders they work flawlessly in it.

@@StrathpefferJunction The gun is horrendous in single action BUT it has a really good double action trigger, very accurate and with tight groupings. It is expensive (@ £229) but if you got the standard version I think that it's worth it. The fibre optic sights are really good on the 'Charging Rhino', so you might want to factor that into the price too.

The SA is very hard because it goes through 6....yes SIX different parts to release, in fact it's amazing it's not actually harder! There real-steel counterpart has 3....trigger....sear....hammer. The accumulated force is bound to add up! I sprayed mine and its now firm but very crisp! The DA is excellent and rotates the cylinder and then you can stop and prep for the final break. You can actually turn the cylinder this way and not fire the gun. Very well controlled for a pistol at this price point. I love my 60DS and and getting the same in black to swap parts to make two 'limited' guns. The actually real-steel competition guns are as these.....60DS and with the SA action removed, so only fire DA. The 'hammer' spur is removed also. Cool as hell and super accurate those guns! kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZKlXpWuf52lZ68
