Sure, I know. But back in the day, the very name Chic was too much linked to the seventies. So you get this "out with the old, in with whatever's called new" kinda thing. Off course, nobody mentions Niles Rodgers' influence in music reached way beyond the early eighties, being the producer of Madonna's first album and series of hits..... (and much more of course)
