A mother's intuition is unmatched. Why would a 34 year old man kill a teenager? Where are the grown men that these young men can actually respect, trust and look up to?

Why didn't the mom fight for him while he was alive. He was 17 and hanging out with a 34 year old felon. That seems like a bit of a let down from a parent. However, single moms are the single worst thing a child can have.

@@imanimoore4881 I was also raised by aa single mom. I am very successful. I didn't say every single mom was bad. I said the worst thing a child can have is a single mom. This is true. The one statistic that is consistent for determining people in prison is being raised by a single mom. This doesn't mean every single mom sucks just that kids are far more likely to not go to prison if raised by 2 parents. It is the single worst thing for a kid. 2 parents have a much higher success rate. This is just facts. Sorry your feelings don't like facts. Do some actual research and stop being such a wuss. Maybe if you had a father you would be tougher and would not get so triggered by facts.

Her courage in the face of unimaginable pain while fighting for justice for her son is incredible. What kind of grown man would be playing games with a gun with a child half his age? Does anyone believe that for a second? I was taught when I was a little kid that you never point a weapon at someone even if you’re certain it’s not loaded…unless you’re planning to shoot that person which was obviously his intent. @@nattydreadlocks1973 Going by your screen name, this would be YOUR community too. Yes, unfortunately "her child was killed by a 37 year old man who was not a family member" - would it have made it any better if he WAS a family member? If you "question why no man in her family is standing by her in trying times" go ask the MEN! What "strikes me as odd" is your continual fault finding with the mother, when as a man you should be asking where your fellow male - the FATHER - is and what HE thinks of all this, yet you continually harp on the woman, who is very likely not alone - especially in a situation like this - by choice.
