Just a minor detail left out is during the part of the cicadas life they live underground eating what? I bet golf courses will think of her for years. I appreciate her passion but was it this that made people import other species from other areas of the globe that they don't belong. I'm in a national forest area that doesn't have them because there's plenty of wildlife that eat them up. In the Chicago suburbs squirrels, birds, fish and other critters that aren't as plentiful have a feast. Still the grubs are found anywhere you dig as chemical companies make money to get rid of them.
