This is good. Who is missing from this is Terry Kath. He should have still been in the group. But this was six years after his death. They were still good, but something is missing without Terry.

@@georgesawtooth Terry was the first to want out of Chicago before his death then Lamm .Terry had songs written for his solo act and did not want horns in his music at all .Hmmm I thought Cetera was the one who hated horns.

That was really weird - at 4:50 Peter Cetera missed his cue to sing background. Then he looks pissed and turns around to gesture to either Danny Seraphine or Robert Lamm. Maybe Danny's drumming was off? This could be a sign of Cetera's increasing disenchantment with the band - he left CHICAGO 1 year later

It looked like his microphone wasn't turned up and he was probably annoyed the soundman, wasn't paying attention notice you can't hear his high part, in the chorus, Ive seen shows where that does happen, this was not Peter against the band members .

The drums were not off (didn't you listen?).. Peter's mic was low, but you can hear it. He's gesturing to the sound guy obviously (as he has before)

Has to be one of the last interviews with Lamm and Cetera. At this point Cetera was more loyal to David Foster than he was to Robert Lamm and the rest of Chicago.

Astrosjer loyalty is a two way street. At this point, Peter was literally carrying the band with his singing and songwriting. They were all getting paid because of Peter’s work. Then the ungrateful bastards wouldn’t even give the guy time off to cut a solo album, they forced him to tour or quit and he chose to quit. Everyone lost, especially the fans. Should have let him have time like Genesis gave Phil Collins, they might still be together today.

TruthHurts58 I agree PC was carrying the weight during this time and era. Bill Champlin was the only one who supported Peter regarding his solo aspirations but unfortunately Bill did not have much tenure or clout at this point.

Aside from Peter's solo aspirations he also had a little girl at home he wanted to spend time with and be around for her childhood.

Foster helped make them successful again and recognized Peter's vocal and composition talent, so yeah Peter naturally became closer to Foster than Lamm. Lamm wasn't relevant to Chicago's success at this time, he was just getting off his cocaine habit.
