@lingoss5328 Jimmy was tremendous. I've never seen Chicago before and actually didn't know much about the band, just bought the tickets and went to check them out. They blew my expectations away. The video doesn't do it justice. The experience, being able to stand up next to the stage, it was like I was on stage with them. Jimmy blowing that trombone right at me, was somewhat hilarious, but so cool at the same time. I got to meet them before the show and take pictures, but I didn't know any of them at that time. I wish I could have met them AFTER the show instead. They made me a fan, for sure. They were all nice guys too.

I love the fact that they are still rocking after all these years, but I have seen the pricing for this show. To be honest, I wouldn't pay the prices to sit up front to see a band with 2 and a half founding members. I would just sit out on the grass and sing all night.
@DrummerDanVa

I would be home in my air conditioning listening to the recordings when they were really good especially at the cost of tickets today. I am 69 and am a musician and love this era of music but I don't need to see old guys trying. And as a drummer the current drummer overplays compared to the iconic Danny Seraphine parts. Tris Imboden blended nicely on drums also while changing some things. But I guess in a consumer driven economy as long as people are willing to pay these guys will be out there.

@@shapro88 Shawn, for me, I'm not saying the show you posted wasn't great. I really enjoyed it. What I"m saying is that with the cost of tickets these days, it's difficult to spend upwards of $300 or higher to sit up front like where you are sitting. You may have gotten lucky and didn't pay that much and this was not a knock on you at all. It's the industry (not even the bands in some cases but Ticketmaster and the Venues) that's the rip off.

I have seen Chicago numerous times over the past 50 years. I just saw them last year and once again, Robert took the night off. That is what is happening. These guys are 80 years old. It is understandable. Health issues are common. It is time to call it a career and enjoy the rest of their lives with family. Nobody would blame them for a well deserved rest. I know for me, I will not spend any more money to go and see “Chicago” when there is a very good chance one of the 3 that’s left will not be performing. It is not Chicago anymore. It has happened 2 times for me in the last few years. Once it was James Pankow and the last time it was Robert. They will always be my favorite band. No band will ever match their musicianship and talent but “Father Time” has made his presence known. It happens to all of us. 😢

I've been to hundreds of concerts from Metallica, the Scorpions & ACDC to Elton, Billy Joel, Rod Stewart, Phill Collins, Genesis, Sting, the Police, Tom Petty, the Eagles, Pat Benatar, Cyndi Lauper, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Sammy Hagar, Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox 20, Green Day and many others, and I've only walked out of one concert in my life. A few years back, Reo Speedwagon opened for Chicago in Irvine, CA, and they went the first 90 minutes having played one song that we recognized. When we were leaving, they played Hard to Say I'm Sorry, but that was the only other song I knew. Several people from my class of 1988 had similar experiences and said stuff like "I guess I don't like Chicago as much as I thought I did." I'd way rather see more guitars than horns. This doesn't mean your experience loving the show isn't valid, and I'm glad you all had a good time. I was just massively let down by their set. But at least Reo Speedwagon sounded great.

Respectfully, Rad, I have no use for Leonid and Friends. It makes no sense to me to have a "tribute" band when the band you're "tributing" still exists and is out there performing with regularity, albeit with only three of its original seven members. Seems like a slap in the face, as in, "Hey, look at us, we do their stuff better than THEY do!" Just annoys me. But... if I'm off base here, I'm open to being set straight...

I think it turned out pretty good except for the last few songs when we were right next to the stage. I mean, I recorded it with my phone, I'm not some professional video Grapher. 🙄

This lineup NOWHERE as good as the last time in saw them 7-10 years ago 😤 The sound on this video is NOT GOOD, DEPLORABLE in fact 🤮

@bradcrawford1998 I've been described as having belonged to a BASKET OF DEPLORABLES by a very nasty woman 8 years ago. This feels so oddly familiar, "Brad Crawford 1988". You know, that beautiful woman... her husband's initials are "B.C." Just a coincidence I'm sure. 🧐🤨

Pretty difficult to get a descent recording from up front. See them live yourself, then comment.

Unfortunately , Chicago ended the day Terry Kath shot himself . Just like the Grateful Dead ended when Jerry Garcia died......

It definitely ended for him. What a dumb ass.

Like so many bands from the 70's, 80's and 90's, they are personnel wise just a shell of their original self, but the music is still great. Stage presence is terrible.

They go into the '80s set and it's just a cover band with Robert on a keyboard he doesn't even need to be playing. Who are these people as Seinfeld would say
