Thanks Liam! It was another hard ran run but loved almost every moment of my first Major! Can’t wait for Queenstown now which will be such a contrast by being out in nature and a lot quieter , I’m glad I’ve been able to inspire :) and thank you for your support !

Congratulations on finishing the Chicago marathon well done. Was that a PB? I just binge watch a bunch of your marathon videos and found them interesting and entertaining. I was wondering do you do much training in between marathons? Do you set a pace time during the marathon? And have you tried any zone two training ? Well done with your persistence and determination.

@@MichalskiTube thank you! It was a PB for Chicago as it’s the first time I’ve ran it haha, but my marathon PB was set at Brisbane Marathon this year at 5hrs47mins , thanks for bingeing my content haha I’m glad you enjoyed them , I try to train as much as I can but it’s hard to stick to a consistent plan with kids and a job that has me doing different hours everyday but I make it work best I can and try to get in a few runs a week but list training I don’t run more then 10k at a time and then I’ll do a 21k run once a month , but I’m more then happy with my pace aiming to come in around 8.5mins a K on average over the marathon , I don’t push myself too hard with the risk to my asthma , so my training is basically I just run and try to keep it a slow pace combines with some swimming and bike riding for some easier workouts on the legs , as far as pace time during the race day I set myself a goal of running my quicker pace in the first 10k then I ease back and enjoy the next 32k haha my main goal is always to avoid that sweeper at the back which ironically I got caught by when I posted a PB in Brisbane this year but every marathon has different cut off times 🤷♂️, but thanks for watching and I hope you’ll enjoy the Queenstown marathon video I’ll make next month too

@ thanks for the detailed reply. I’m kinda in a similar position 43, Ft job kids…except I have never run a race before. I’m in Adelaide looking at running the 12k city to bay 21st of September. I see the Sydney marathon is on the 15th of September and they are looking to include it as one of the majors. That’s exciting! NYC is this weekend I think? Will be fun watching content creators upload that. All the best to you and your family.

@ it’s the biggest challenge balancing family and work life with training for a marathon but it’s doable , before 2022 I’d never run more then 100m at a time , oh yes they will announce after the NY marathon if Sydney becomes the next major and I’m so excited to run it again next year either way and the cut off time is a generous 7hrs , be kind to yourself when starting out and take the time to learn and make mistakes first what works for you and your style, you got this 💪
