@@mrsc1742 It was a tragic accident what happened to George Floyd, But he didn't deserve a statue made of his face,George Floyd was "NOT" an abstanding citizen
@mrsc1742
@mrsc1742 3 жыл бұрын
@@buster3rd 1st...what happened was not an accident but murder. Anyone should know if you put your knee and body weight on someone's neck eventually they stop breathing. A man who is laying on his stomach in handcuffs is not a threat; however, if he believed him to be a threat than once Floyd stopped moving and his body went limp he would have than gotten up. Instead the officer continued to keep his knee on Floyd's neck for almost 3 mins after he stopped breathing ensuring his death. That incident was a disgusting disregard for human life. It was as if I could clearly see the enemy within this officer. By enemy I do not mean police or a white person. I'm referring to Satan. A demonic presence manifested within that officer & there was an intent to kill. If you can watch that video & do not see murder than I suggest you look within for any biases that may hinder you from seeing what occurred. With all that being said George Floyd 100% should NOT have any type of statue! I'm sure they will place it in an area that has a high population of minorities or in an area where there is notable tensions/distrust b/w police and citizens. It won't be used to honor Floyd (He did nothing to be honored anyway). It will be used as a symbol so when a minority walks/drives by they will be reminded of police brutality/racist police. Young kids will walk by with their parents and ask who this man was and they will have to explain his murder and that will only plant seeds of distrust for the police within that young child. That is likely the true intent of this statue only to fuel the existing hate/distrust. It is sad but that is the society we live within.

If a fireman runs into a burning building and saves the life of a child...is that person a hero or are they an exemplary employee who did an outstanding job? I'll answer...to the fireman he was only doing his job, but to others (especially the person he saved) he is a hero. This man's actions may have helped save the life of the other officer so who are you to define if he is a hero or not.

Hes so right in saying mindsets need to change. Some of these comments are sick! First of all I think many people dont understand how diverse the CPD is. All these black and latino men and women on the force and in leadership positions.. yet some people just cant see anything involving cops as more than a black vs white scenario. Its a pathetic and flawed logic to think like that and much of the hatred people have for cops comes from the fact that the actions of the bad ones are pinned on all of them. Generalization.. the same thing behind racism and tribalism. It never leads to anything good. Open your minds!

Look up the definition of the word hero. Because what you think it means and what it actually means are 2 different things. A hero can come in many forms through a multitude of different acts. A great dispatcher or 911 operator can be just as much of a hero as the people responding to the calls or the ER staff who will resuscitate the person once they are brought in.

Correct. Keith doesn't call himself a hero, nor did he have any desire to elevate or promote himself because of this high-profile situation.
