I know that they don't teach comprehension skills in school any longer, but try to keep up.. Someone made a threat. A detailed threat, to parade organizers. The FBI was contacted. The FBI cannot locate the individual (I know! Technology right?). So, the Chicago police, as suggested by the FBI, decided to double the security in all areas, rather than spreading it out. That's why the route was shortened.

Why don't Brainless johnson just come out and announce that all summer festivals, gatherings and events are postponed or canceled indefinitely by stating, "We simply cannot guarantee public safety!"

I understand that people are upset. But people need to listen to the message. There is a credible threat . Would I like the parade to be just as big and incredible as always? Yes. But I would much rather all Chicagoans are safe.

I'm Canadian but I really hope that everyone in Chicago will be safe. I'll be thinking of all of you.
