OMG I LIVE IN THE CHICAGO SUBURBS!!! 😄 Also I love the pizza (part of the reason why I stick up with the cold lol) Woodfield mall in Schamburg is one of the biggest malls around here. Michigan Ave is where all of the main shopping is and State St is also good for shopping, and if you take Oak St west, that is where all of the designer stores are. The Macy's where you were amazed at 11:04 was Marshall Field it was built in 1852 and in 2006 it was sold to Macy's many people were so mad (including myself) because after Macy's took over they modernized it and took all of the beauty out of it. You can look up what it used to look like. The clock out side of it they kept (thank goodness because it is a Chicago landmark). My Grandma used to meet her sister at the clock when she was younger, in the 1960s. The castle looking building at 8:12 is the original Chicago water tower, built in 1869 is one of the few historical buildings that survived the Chicago Fire in 1871. My grandma's mom worked as a executive at Wrigley Gum in the Wrigley building in the 1930s. Also I have been to the bean so many times, it's so cool you went there. During St Patrick's Day they dye the Chicago River Green. Also we have "Sky Deck Chicago" where you go up the Sears/Willis tower and you go into this glass room over the street, and you are really high up, so it's only for the brave lol. We also have the world's largest Starbucks that just opened on Michigan Ave too! Just don't go to the south side that's where all of the crime is, even China town is sketchy. Oh ya the museum of science and industry is my favorite museum!

It looks more intimidating than it is. There are about 7 floors (eight if you count the basement) Most of the extra space above is used for events. Floors 6&7 is restaurants. If you know where to go, they have express elevators that save you time and if not, the escalators are pretty efficient. But the real gem is the basement. We have something called a pedway which is an underground tunnel that takes you to some parts of the city. (train station, courthouse, a mall, etc).
