Honestly childhood is a great time to let kids experiment with style and hair like this. It gives them independence and confidence. Plus it has very few consequences. When you get older you have to consider job prospects and cultural associations way more, which makes hair color a dramatic decision. So childhood is a great time to experiment!!

I agree with what you said - US houses are much larger. UK houses are a much better quality - UK houses are made of brick & stone while US houses use drywall & wood. UK houses last for really a lot longer & don't get termite infections.

People here like to spread out and have designated spaces for different purposes. My cousin and his girlfriend were looking to buy a 4 bedroom house so they could have a home office, a guest bedroom, and a craft room. Then their basement would be a game and music room (they have a lot of instruments)

I love that piece that had the shoes on it! I currently have all of my daughter's shoes out and am constantly told how many shoes she has ... But it's so much easier to leave them out if I don't have a shoe hanger because she does have a lot of shoes and I like for her to wear the ones that match her outfit or let her choose!

Nice place! I know that you don't like your kitchen counter tops, but personally I think they go good with the natural wood cabinets, you just need to add some flat black door knobs and drawer pulls and you'll be set! I love and miss Chicago! Best Wishes in your new home!

Hi Jess, I was in Chicago for just over two weeks, we got home a few days ago. I attended a gala at the Athletic Association hotel that is on your thumbnail and stayed at the Saint Jane Hotel. Chicago is one of my favourite places along with New York. Much love x

I’m so happy your working towards homeownership, but please don’t waste a realtors time and see things out of your price range....most good realtors won’t even show houses unless they have your prequalified letter from a lender or proof of funds, and upon having that...they are only going to show and recommend what’s in the permitted range. Also, just because you get preapproved for a certain amount, doesn’t mean you have to utilize that whole amount. Like say you prequalify for 150k, it’s okay to buy a 100k home and live even more comfortably 🙂and I would actually recommend that. Say your cool with paying 1400 a month on mortgage, try and find a home and rate that’ll only make your payment 1k a month, and pay the other 400 you’d thought you’d be paying anyway if you got a bigger home, and put it towards the principle. You’ll knock off the years your paying on that home tremendously if you do that often.

Micah is so beautiful & has such spunk. You're gonna be in trouble with her but I bet you hear that all the time. You're house looks similar to my old one. I can't wait to go house shopping with you. It's so much fun. We just moved into ours in Dec 2017. It was such a fun process & we settled on this house for multiple reasons but it's been a money trap. Make sure you put out the extra money to a plumber, electrician, & gen contractor to get individual inspections. Especially if it's an older home. Ours was built in 1910 & the regular inspection said everything was fine but we've had to dump over 20k in plumbing since we moved in. Including having to get the entire kitchen & living room floors redone because of a flood. Thanks for sharing.

When I watch Christina she totally gives me such a boost.
