this is super late, but I mean, it's fictional so everything goes. Could be that maybe the gang respects the fire department (like in some countries--since they aren't cops and usually all they do is save lives and your livelihood). If we are going for realistic, his house would'a got rushed eons ago, lmao. A weak door is the only thing standing between a gang and one small boy and his frail grandmother(?). That door ain't gonna do shit. People get rushed all the time. Also having a brigade of cops/fire-fighters rarely scare off a large number of gang members (at least not here, they'd for sure at least try to put up a dominant/intimidating front before letting the kid go on his merry way). This is an episode where you can create your own happy ending, imo.

There’s always time. Just know it might not be as exciting as you think, depending what you do. With the Fire Department however, you pretty much only get exciting incidents, cause no one really calls the FD for anything else.
@fynnla.e4 жыл бұрын
If you haven't done it already, firefighting and rescue work is a really fufilling line of work. I spent 3 years as a fire cadet and even though we weren't responding to calls or saving actual lives, it was still a great time. And the skills are applicable to life outside work. Such as first aid, or fire safety, or technical knowledge. I never thought I'd use any of the skills outside of it but I did.
