The reason this game did not do as well as it so obviously should have... Is because it came out just a month or so before Gears of War 3... And, admittedly, I am guilty of buying it as a hold over while waiting for Gears. But it turned out to be amazing.

Actually the recoil on a bolter would be a lot less than you think, b/c the bolts are rocket propelled. Look up the gyrojet pistol.

Bolter recoil 1.bolters are very heavy mitigating a lot of recoil. 2. 8ft tall superhuman with muscular skeletal and dexterity enhancement. 3. A rocket propelled round does most of its acceleration after leaving the weapon meaning much less recoil for the operator.

To be fair, the imperium isn't racist it's speciesists or, to use an actual word, xenophobic. A race is a different branch of the same species. German shepards and huskies are different races but they are both dogs. Black people and white people are different races but they are both part of the human species. Orks, Eldar, Tau, etc aren't human so hating them by definition can't be racist. It's like saying hating spiders, snakes or sharks is racist.

Still doesn't change the fact hating another species, sentient or not, intelligent or not, is not racist by sheer definition. Is hating Tyranids racism? They are also considered Xenos aren't they? If it's not considered as racism in their case then what's the difference, the fact the others look humanoid? Then what about genestealer cults? They are tyranid and look humanoid. Is hating regular tyranids not racist but hating genestealer cults is?

Please show anyone calling Warhammer 40k: Space Marine is a "Gears of War ripoff" The entirety of the Gears of War franchise was "inspired" by Warhammer 40k which is a different way to say shamelessly ripped off of Warhammer 40k. So shut it.

You and the people calling Space Marine a gears ripoff are both wrong, it's one thing to say Space Marine is NOT a gears ripoff but it's another to say Gears ripped of 40k which is simply not true(at least not to the extent you believe), these games came out in the same year, difference is Gears of War 3 came out later than Space Marine, difference is Gears of War existed long before Gears of War 3, and tell me, if Gears of War was a ripoff of 40k, what third person cover shooters existed in the 40k franchise that had existed long before Gears of War? Exactly, none. I was willing to agree with your argument, but in the end you were just as wrong as the people calling Space Marine a Gears of War ripoff.
