I need y’all to understand we Indians and not native Americans. Our ancestors were here first. The only way you can claim to be us is admitting that you have us in your family in which most your ancestors had babies with us. History is literally repeating itself. And of course you’ll never believe us because the way they took our identity from us they use to kill and hang our ancestors for claiming to be who they are and in return fear was instilled so they stopped telling their children who they were. Then African American was created. We’ve been re classified and called so many names before African American. We are not Africans because we have brown skin we don’t look like them at all and are more athletic built our men are muscular I no longer am upset with other cultures not understanding real history because they told y’all a lie about us for a reason. And they’re using y’all and other nations to over throw us. No matter what God will return us to our original states as malcom X said. May he be granted jannah. May the ancestors continue to guide and watch over the Nijis of turtle island. Long Live the children of the Sun

I always put mine through three cooking processes. I boil them in plain water to get most of the salt out. Then I deep fry them till they float, then I bake them to get 'em crunchy & crispy! Then I sprinkle them with a little cayenne pepper. Note: Don't sprinkle them with anything salty.

As a Puertorican (we also have chicharrón, as do most if not all hispanic countries) I entirely approve of this. The only thing I would do different is that I would also season the meat and not just the water. On a fun fact that I learned, Spain also has chicharrón but they call it “torreznos”. Which makes me think that we all over here in latin america inherited the dish from Spain.

That's the best explanation I can give. 😂 but, to each their own!!! Many people like them, and thats ok. You might like them as well. 🤷‍♀️. I can say- I like homemade ones better than store bought.
