Chickadees! Chickadees! Chickadees! OMG So much fun. I'm going to do an 8 x 10 of the single one first and then a large canvas of the other one. Even though the paintings are similar, you've changed it up enough for me to want to do both. I have been watching both videos for each painting. I watch the shorter version first to get a good understanding of what is involved and to see the close ups and techniques and then I watch the longer one to have fun. Even though I don't always see the live shows in real time, I enjoy watching them to feel connected to the community. I really see why you do both. Thanks for that.

I experienced the pitting for the first time last night during a paid Paint Nite. So frustrating! No matter what I did, I could not get the pits to take paint! Thank you for explaining that and giving a work around. I don't know why I have been so lucky to not have this happen with the inexpensive canvases I buy at Michaels but now I know what to do. I love, love chickedees. They are some of the first birds that I painted in watercolor. i really like your ability to layer and give depth to a painting. I know that's necessary in order to avoid a flat painting. All the wonderful videos on KZbin are a tremendous help, even when doing a different style of painting. I'm more realistic, but I do like different styles of painting. I really love what you did with this painting. Who wouldn't love these cute little birds? Super painting. Thanks so much. Love the longer lesson. LOVE the chickadees, love seeing you two dancing together, love seeing you have fun with your blue lipstick, and loved the random factoid about titanium buff vs. unbleached titanium. Just love y'all. I popped in on the live to say hi while I was waiting for my mom's doctor to come talk to us-nothing to serious, just a routine check-up. I'm glad you make the lives available for us to view later. I really enjoy the energy and fun but I also like knowing if I need some more detailed info on a section I can go watch the drilled down version when I'm painting it. Then of course I now have choices about what elements to put in my painting-the simplified or the Shepafied. Lots of work for you both but it's very nice on my end to have the 2 similar but different lessons. If I had to choose I'd go for the live format every time. Cheers!

I love the chickadees! You have given them such wonderful personalities! BTW I love your hat but the lipstick will have to grow on me. I'm 62 yrs old and I had my nails done in that color one time. I wore it for two weeks trying to make myself get used to it. Didn't work. It's often difficult for people my age to adjust to new things. I bet your mom would wear it though!
