Takeo Ishii heard yodeling on the radio in Japan, when he was a kid. decided he liked it, studied it, went to Germany and Austria and made a legit career for himself as a yodeling singer, married a local lass and has been a legend ever since.

the japanese aren't known for their Yodels, but Takeo Ischi is! he's incredibly talented, and even invented his own brand of yodeling

He was raised in Tokio and loved traditional german/bavarian music more than most germans, he then learned german, traditional german instruments and yodeling there. With 26 he immigrated to Germany. When he is "more serious" this guy is actually insane. He was trained by the world best yodler in germany (Franzl Lang) for a very long time and in my opinion easily on the top10 list for best yodlers worldwide after that. He even got a medal for exceptional service to traditional folk music in Germany.
