Hi, I seal the inside of my pie after its been blind baked, with the egg wash and just shut the lid or put back in the oven for a couple of minutes to dry it off. Seen a few bakers and people in the know doing this. Seems to work for me. I do it with quiche too. Jane

Yes I had the same problem yesterday, I made a beef casserole, I had to sear and sauté the beef, and it started sticking, not too on buying the stainless steel pan, waiting for ninja to sort themselves out

you need a new pan. thats the problem with the bacon sticking. you've basically lost the non-stick on the pan. same happened to me. I got a stainless steel pan off amazon, never looked back. highly suggest getting one of those.

Nice recipe, but I would never let pastry come into contact with hot pie filling.

@@deepayne1930 I do agree that it’s not ideal. Cooling the filling is best and then filling and cooking.
