These are good as can help hydrate your dog if they are sick (obviously talk to vet first) and are good for older dogs who can’t chew treats easily

I've done this, but I found out my dogs love it when I freeze the treats. It takes them a little bit longer to eat them, but it's like dog ice cream to them.

Thanks for that great idea! I will make them for my 14 year old baby. She’s lost some weight and is always walking wobbly. I get her all the supplements as needed plus she has a prescription food by her vet. I feel that the protein and ingredients in this will help her. Since my baby has lost her eyesight and don’t hear, food is something she still loves. She’s a vacuum!!! My puppiiis ❤

I love these videos!! I make the treats as suggested the first time and then i usually switch it up a little each time after. My dogs stay with fresh & healthy treats in the fridge. It's totally changed their treat time. Thank you so much!

Thank you for this recipe! I'm always looking for grain free treats for my dogs and now that they're getting older the gelatin is an added bonus for their joints and skin.

Thank you. Great recipe. They are perfect. My Chi’s have hard time chewing those hard treats and almost choked on the jerky treats. This is perfect. So happy to have found this. Love the gelatin for their bones esp. 🤗🤗

The jerky can definitely be hard for some dogs, if they have dental issues or a hard time chewing. I'm so happy to hear your sweet Chi is enjoying these :)

Thanks so much; found your channel/subscribed/so impressed watching your first video, I ordered your cookbook from Amazon; expect to receive it today. We have 3 Poms; buying/bought "Full Moon Chicken Jerky/Fillets" from Chewy.com; getting expensive so started looking to make them their chicken jerky. Used your receipe last night, first time, forgot to add any seasoning; gave them all pieces this am/ we are good to go; love it. Keep up the good & healthy work for our doggies!

How long do they last in the icebox & can they be frozen?
@user-td1zo3tv9p5 жыл бұрын
This is a good question. I have another question to add to the list, if I may. Because I have a much (!) bigger dog than the little ones in the video (last weigh-in he was just shy of 80#) other than the treats not lasting as long, should I add MORE of the individual ingredients to account for his larger body mass to allow for better help with his bones and joints? I'm curious if larger amounts of, say, the carrots or other herbs would be more beneficial to his body as long as I don't go overboard and create a potential toxicity issue. Inquiring minds wanna know. Thanks!!

Hi Helen! I wouldn't recommend freezing this treat. It lasts about 4 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You can always half the recipe if you don't want as many treats :)
@ProudDogMom5 жыл бұрын
Hi @@user-td1zo3tv9p! The shelf-life of these treats are about 4 days in the fridge and I wouldn't recommend freezing them. With that said, your large dog would definitely benefit from a larger treat then my little guys. Rather than adding more of a particular ingredient, I would just use larger molds. So each snack is packed with more nutrients for your big fur kid.

How to increase shelf life. Can we add potassium sorbate.
@naseemjafri69812 жыл бұрын
How to make it heat resistant? Also give the name of preservative to extend the shelf life.

I'm going to try using chicken toddler jarred baby food. There are no additives, and it will be much easier than cooking and food processing the ingredients. I may even try mixing in some strained carrots and green beans. I don't see why it wouldn't work....

Does anyone know if it would it be okay to add a teaspoon of turmeric? I read that is a great spice to help joints. I am starting to see my 12 year old little lady struggle to get up. I am definitely trying these jiggly treats.

I would start with 1/4 or 1/2 a teaspoon, but, yes! That would be a great addition :)

BRILLIANT and it looks like it is (almost) as much fun making them as it would be to give them to my pooch. 😀 In my case, because my Belgian Malinois is a "gulper" when it comes to any treat outside of his foods, I have to hold onto the treat between thumb and forefinger and let him nibble (?) it out from between my fingers. Otherwise, like I said, he'd catch the snack mid-air and swallow it whole, never knowing what it even tastes like. 😢 It's kind or weird that he does that, too, because he knows he gets plenty of treats (without going overboard) and it isn't like he has to compete with another pet or dog, so why the urgency to scarf his Scooby Snacks (sorry, Cartoon Company) if there isnt any competition for them? Just one more case of doggo behavior I'll never understand. Lastly, THANK YOU for your efforts in creating these treats and other goodies for our Furbabies. My boy has LOVED everything I have made for him from your videos and ingredients suggestions. Now I need to find those silicone bone molds for these gelatin based yummies. Oh, and ONE more thing..... Thank you for your Bubbly personality as you create all your doggie treats and ideas to share with us. It is such a joy to watch you interact with your Pups as well as the invisible audience. Have a SPLENDID day and a wonderful weekend!! God Bless. Howard AKA, Huggy
